Like I said - Eaux will probably have a shite eating grin on his face.

I'm sure he does. What's not to smile about when you've got your program poised to run the table and win an SEC and National championship?

It’s pretty obvious that all Derek was to Alleva was a $2,400 credit from the Work Opportunity Tax Credit program.

I think Woodward has probably learned from his past decisions, much like O says he learned from his time at Ole Miss.

I’d be shocked to see him hand out that kind of money again, not wanting to give a contract unless O has a division title or a playoff appearance to show for it.

Yes because Ed just:
Finished the season at #6.
Had a damn strong recruiting class last year.
Working on maybe the best class ever.
Brought in Joe Brady who recruits love.
Killing it with high profile OOS recruits.

I think all we will see is smiles.

As much as I loved Les Miles and supported him, it was time for him to move on
People bitched about Miles not wanting to change the offense (justified), now that the offense is changing for the better, why would Ed do anything but smile?

They arent ditching him because some people here don’t like him.
He is succeeding. When he doesn’t he’s out.

But it was still a poor hire, and even if Orgeron wins a title in the next 2-3 years it's still a bad hire.

its not a stretch to say O had more job security with alleva than he will with woodward. That's not even a shot at O, its generally true for most major sport coaches when a new AD comes in.
true but the idea that O is going to be super nervous at the press conference is pretty laughable. O’s fate is virtually the same now as it was before. It’s 100% in his control if LSU football succeeds. If he doesn’t he’ll be gone just like anyone else.

It's f*cking pathetic people like you exist who would rather see Orgeron fail than LSU win just to say "I was right!"

It's almost as bad as Trump Derangement Syndrome, just on a smaller scale.

We have yet to see a positive change offensively

It's super revealing. It's an admission that no matter what Orgeron does these people will never be happy.

You can be happy with the product on the field and still admit that there was no justification for Alleva to hire O in the first place.

It also depends on the specifics and desirability of the job and the amount of bank available.

By all accounts, Aggies were thrilled with Woodward and for all we know, that deal was the best Woodward could get for them.

It doesn't mean he will offer stupid money to people at LSU.

But why still argue and bitch about it? It happened. It's over. There's nothing anyone can change about it. Alleva's gone.

If Orgeron wins LSU a championship there should not be a single soul ever complaining about his hiring. It's that simple.

Because it was a huge step back from the program that is still being felt today.

Pretty much. If he's winning a championship at LSU it will be this year, so this argument won't go on for much longer. If he doesn't, Woodward will most likely cut bait after next season.

Why don’t you actually lost total offensive stats?

And why don’t you post it per game since he same number of games weren’t played for each season

Joe would have been reluctant to fire O because doing so would have essentially been an admission of fault. It would have been the 3rd major HC he hired that failed (Trent Johnson and Johnny Jones being the first two).

The new AD bears no responsibility for O being the HC. Thus, if he feels someone else would be better suited to run the program he will have no hesitation to make the move. So yes, O's job security is lessened with the "firing" of Alleva.
You could also make the opposite argument. With your boss on the hot seat, you're more likely to get fired because they're trying to do something to save themselves rather than when your boss is secure and you're meeting expectations, you're less likely to get fired.
