Maybe you think average for LSU baseball is "almost making" a super regional. I don't.

maybe you consider taking the #3 overall seed in America into extra innings in a Regional Final on the road to be "below average", but pretty much nobody else does.

If they wouldn't have had a "below average" season, maybe they would have been hosting instead of going to the #3.

I guess this year doesn't count either since he has 2 stud pitchers and Bear Jones?

Neither are studs like Paul Skenes. Jones is not as good as Crews either.

Again, this year Jay is doing great, so unless there is a complete collapse, I see them at least in the Super Regionals, but most likely in the World Series.

ONCE AGAIN, I was taking a shot at Scott in my original post. I think Jay will be a great coach here almost like Skip, but lets not give SCOTT credit YET for the hire.

Smoke Laval did get a 5th season.
finished with a losing record in conference and did not even make a regional in that 5th year.

There was a fifth year for Laval. To even compare the two is insanity. Also, College Baseball has completely changed. The conference is stronger, the players are better.
Smoke had three #1 recruiting classes and two top 5 and didn’t win anything. His paths to Omaha were fairly easy. In my lifetime he is the worst Baseball coach.

1st year : won the home regional from the losers bracket. Shut out in two games in Supers.
2nd year : CWS 0-2 & BBQ
3rd year : CWS 0-2 & BBQ
4th year : Lost home regional
5th year : Didn’t make regional

I guarantee you if they don't win the regional, everyone will want him fired.

Idiots on here. A large percentage of people here don’t know anything about college baseball outside LSU and 7 national championships.
Again, expectations are insanely high at LSU, but some of y’all have unrealistic expectations.

You said Jay won because of Skenes and Crews. That’s ridiculous. Did it help, of course, but you took a shot at Jay with the comment, don’t crawfish out.
I think you’re a good fan, you’re just not that smart when it comes to Baseball. Maybe football is your thing.
