We shouldn't be unprofessional to McMahon.
Paying him a buyout of $11 million when other better coaches' buyouts are less come April 2 is as professional as it gets, I'd classify it as ultra-professional

I wish it had worked out for McMahon, he seems like a good man, but this was too big of a stage for him.
He's going to get paid, so good luck to him.

What a wonderful representation of Louisiana and its politics.
To an extent, it's long been that way. It just hasn't always been as open and apparent because of the availability of information sources. If Wade and Kiffin come in next season and have great seasons (relative to expectations) then NO ONE will care how they were brought to LSU.
So many can all sit on their high horses about LSU, the state, etc. But when it comes to LSU athletics (and major college sports in general) Al Davis's words ring true:
JUST WIN BABY. Everything else is just background noise

The part where we would somehow keep McMahon if we don’t get Wade is what’s confusing.
I don’t see how that’s feasible.

I forget, where did he land with the Kiffin rumors?
Everywhere. As usual. Starts with one position, then flips late if it looks like he is wrong, then blames his "sources or his sources' sources" for whichever opinion turns out to be wrong.
Those sources are whichever he thinks helps boost his clicks/audience.
