We don’t need to be scheduling a top 10 team like Florida State or USC at all much less the first game. You should schedule Grambling than a Memphis, Georgia Tech, BYU, Arizona type P5 team, then Miss St. With teams a lot more dependent on portal players you need to step up in competition gradually. These are basically brand new players that need to figure out schemes that are new to them, just like freshman. There is a drop off in DB talent, but it’s magnified by player’s learning House’s system. Things in the secondary will get better, as players get more comfortable back there.
