He makes $3.7 mill a year. That makes him a winner in anybody's book

Positive: He builds stronger families.
He keeps expectations low and dampens the enthusiasm for LSU football, which gives more time for fans to work on home projects or spend time with their families.

Makes sense. That is why we have Choctaw and his followers.

LM is a good smart coach.

With a little more effort he could surpass some of the brillant coaching minds that frequent TD.com.

Also he was smart enough to find a way to make more money than all of his haters, which obv would make a better coach.... combined.

Smart guy in my book.

I am NOT by any stretch of the imagination a Les Miles fan. But every coach has some good things about him. Les's problem is his bad greatly outweighs the good.

Les is a good recruiter (some may say great), and he runs a clean program. (no way are you going to stop ALL 18-20 yr. old men from getting into some trouble, there will always be 1 or 2 bad apples). Unfortunately, Les can't coach for shite, nor can he make good gameday or player personnel issues, and he has serious on the field discipline issues with players who don't perform.

has won more games in a 5 year span than any coach in LSU's history, despite all of the turnover in staff and players

And he lost more SEC games in the last 2 years span than anyone else this decade.

He recruits well.

Though I've often said, a coach would have to be borderline incompetent not to get at least a top 15 recruiting class each year at LSU.

But Coach Miles has most often exceeded that. So that's a positive. And I will resist the usual but......

He has shown incredible and resilient loyalty to an inept offensive coaching staff....

He has a great deal of patience with his fanbase. Any other coach would have blasted the fans for their behavior by now.

Well then how do you explain the drop off in the program since the last of Saban's players have graduated?
