Let's just say LSU goes 9-3 this season and finishes with a strong bowl win. Does Matt Canada and Dave Aranda catch the first thing smoking out of Baton Rouge or do they stay knowing the young talent that got experience this year and finish out their contracts. Aranda's names been mentioned(probably not serous) for head coaching jobs.

I fully expect both to be gone next year. Especially the season finishes really strong.

Maybe Aranda, but why Canada? He's not nearly the proven product Aranda is at this point.

I see Aranda wanting to stay because of his high salary and Devin White. If whites in Heisman contention next year, that would shine a major spotlight on his genius.

I'd reverse it.

While Aranda is a more proven property, he hasn't interviewed for a HC job in the last couple of years.
We only got Canada because ECU turned him down for their HC gig.

Because people are predictable. If Orgeron meddled once he'll meddle again.

Ask your aunt, "Hows it hanging?"

I don't think the teams' success or lack thereof have anything to do with either coordinators exit, particularly Aranda.

Only way Canada leaves after this year is if he's shown the door. He's an upgrade over Cameron but this offense isn't setting the world on fire. Who is going to steal him from us?

Amanda might very well go but the defense isn't the same as it was last year. Mostly bc of personnel, but again, we aren't setting the world on fire on that side either

Canada is more likely to leave. There is no guarantee O doesn't start trying to interfere again as soon as a successful (by current readjusted standards) season, and on top of that, LSU's recruiting doesn't look great. This may be the weakest recruiting class in quite some time for LSU, even perhaps worse than 2012 or 2005.

Because it has been reported that he (Canada) and O have maybe not the best relationship. I can see him not wanting to coach under someone who he doesn't really like or respect.

If Devin White continues the play he has had so far this year. Next year he will get Heisman mentions. The dude is setting it on fire from that MLB position.

There may be no better referendum on Da Coach O as a head coach and person than what Aranda and Canada do next year or the next.
They know what is going on in the locker room and on the field/ sidelines.

Aranda has built a pristine reputation in coaching circles. Teams would line up to sign him.

Canada has $1.5MM reasons to stay. He makes more than about half of the Division I head coaches make.

I'm pretty sure he'll put up with Orgeron for that kind of cheese.

Personally, I think the referendum on O is whether or not he can bring in elite coordinators to replace Aranda / Canada.

I worry a lot more about Canada. If Canada leaves, which assistant is qualified to run Canada's system? ... none of them? That means a brand new system next year, and the offense goes back to square one: another "rebuilding" year, offensively.
