Is there a strong argument to be made that this would be the most accomplished collegiate team ever?

I dont think it will be an argument. LSU will finish the season as the number 1 football team in the history of college football. And its not even close.

Well, you know ESPN's FPI would have them ranked behind Alabama.

"LSU has not proven that they could beat a healthy Bama team on a neutral field"

Already first team in 30-50 years to beat 4 top 10 teams, with 3 top 10 teams still to go.

Yep. Even the 95 Nebraska team that was dominant and I think beat 3 top 10 teams by 20+ shouldn't be considered better.

If we have to play and beat both Clemson and Ohio St, we could potentially finish the season (if all the non playoff teams I mention win their bowl games), with 6 wins vs teams that finished in the top 10. It would include probably the 2-7 ranked teams (Ohio St, Clemson, UGA, UF, Bama, Auburn)

To date, the 1997 Huskers were the most dominant team I have seen......and if LSU wins all 3, a case is made.

It would be the best Run ever but what will trigger people of the internet is that that doesn’t mean we are the best team ever, there’s probably a few this century that might be able to do the same. Just that there deserves to be a best team ever and best run ever and they don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
