Guess we'll see...

Best player should play. If it's JJ fine. Lee, fine. Mett, fine.

Except if it is JJ no one will believe it and it will definitely not be fine.

The main thing I don't like about having Mett stand behind a OL that breaks faster under pressure than a NOLA Levee is that it is clearly throwing his timing off. He's having to throw low balls to avoid INTs and having to get rid of the ball much before he'd like to. We need to get him in a groove with these WRs. At this point, the pocket is collapsing on him in <.5 seconds, and he's being forced to go down faster than one of Jeremy Hill's underaged...well, nevermind.

I can't wait to see if Fore is backing up Ware. That's the one-two punch that will dominate SEC defenses next year.

I can't understand how people are now getting pissed because JJ looks good in scrimmages this year when obviously in those same scrimmages last year he looked terrible and it showed during the season. This is a good sign and I hope to see more of it next weekend.

season needs to get here, i don't care who looks better in "scrimmage" i care who looks best in game. if lsu passing offense can improve by 50 yards a game with last years running game, then lsu will be playing in atlanta especially if defense is stout again.

Doesn't matter who looks better. JJ get's every advantage and Mett has to play with the walk-ons.

Even if Mett scrambled away, avoided every tackle, and completed every pass, we would still start JJ.

RR looks even stronger, faster, and quicker. He's looking 1st team ALL-SEC.

Like I've been saying, this looks to be his last year as a Tiger..

OL: Great 1st team OL. Arguably the best we've had in a while

Depth is very good, the addition of Ben Wilkerson was a plus.

I think he will be better in the fall. Time to work with the ST's coach.

This maybe one of, if not, the best DB group ever at LSU.

nailed it.

too many folks here, like the op, are wrapped up in their jjsucks agenda. mett is first going to have to earn the respect of the team before any significant changes are made. it would be foolish to think that after jj's cotton bowl performance and the firing/hiring of Crowton/Krags that some kid playing against juco level speed and comp would have the early advantage over two kids who have been tested at SEC speed for the last three years. if people would get their heads out of their asses they would understand the staff is forcing mett to understand that game speed will be substantially quicker than what he faced last year. it's a learning process and mett will have the luxury to learn at his pace....unlike jl/jj who had to be forced into service too soon.

Why are people so obsessed with how bad it was for Mett to play behind the 2/3rd, walk on OL in a spring scrimmage when JJ had to deal with it for a whole season without a green jersey on? From what I'm reading here it makes me believe Mett would have been killed in 09.
