Then you agree with me. Even before spring is over. Not sure why this went pages and pages if we are in agreement.

JJ should start because he's been at LSU. Mett shouldn't play because the SEC is vastly superior to any other football and no one could succeed without prior experience in the SEC alone.
JJ should start if he gives us the best chance to win.

That is the stance I see repeated.

Then there are people like you who essentially say.

. .but frick, he might win!

I just don't think the competition is over.

I think Mett could still win the job.

That was just my best guess.

But you stated you believed JJ would start. That has kinda been the backdrop for this whole thread.

right.

That is my guess.

I also believe UCONN will win the tourney. . .

It is a prediction.

It doesn't mean that I don't think Butler can win, or has a chance to win.

Well, I think that was pretty much all of our predictions. Not sure why we get grief for making it. JJ will start.

I didn't say that at all. He will win. He will win multiple games this year. I just don't think he will win the Heisman. I also don't think he's the most talented QB at LSU. I've said FOREVER that he will be the starter and those thinking Mett even has a chance are just kidding themselves.

The reasoning was being hashed out.

And one guy getting mad because JJ might have a good game.

Is this what we demand from our starting QB's?

You are a tough fan to please.

In fact, you have never been happy with an LSU QB. . .ever.

If last year was an indication, CLM will start the QB who he thinks has the best chance to win which is JJ who has the best wheels among the three QBs. Mett or JL (more likely Mett this year) would come in to bait JJ out in tough games as usual.

Naw man. The thesis statement in the OP pretty much lays it out there. Then, he gets called an idiot for doing it. Yet, no one will state anything to the contrary. JJ is the man, JJ will start, and is being groomed as such.

He isn't. Mett is far more talented.

Talent alone won't get you on the field. Mett may not be ready right now.

It doesn't mean he won't be ready later on. . .Hell, he could come back in July/August fired up and take the job from JJ.

My thoughts as well. This is the dominant factor.

Which page has the last post about actual notes from the scrimmage?

Most of the important stuff is on page one. Within the first few posts.

The argument is whether it is because he is the default, or because he is the best available.

Not at all, but not being ranked in triple digits would be nice.

Not really.

Not true at all. Randall, Hatch, and JJ are the only ones I've not been happy with overall. I think JJ is Footsteps Falco. He could've been a very good/All SEC caliber QB if last year was his first to start. I think he got thrown to the wolves too early and it effected him. I think he was overly cautious with the ball in 09 due to the Pick 6's Lee threw the year before. I don't really know what the hell was wrong with him last year. I'm hoping it was just Crowton sucked balls. I expect him to start the entire year for LSU in 2011. I don't expect any QB platoon at all this year. Not sure how that means I would be mad if he had a good game/year. After watching every second of every game in Jefferson's career though, I have lost faith which sucks.

It's impossible to know at this point who will be the best option for the first game.

But you seem to agree it will be JJ.
