I’m not one to agree with playing zone but I think we will see a lot of zone and a lot of run blitz schemes on defense……..

What do y’all think ?

Probably.

Milroe struggles at times to read defenses and hit receivers when he’s contained to the pocket.

More worried about stopping the run than Milroe beating us.

That’s not Milroe’s game at all.

We want them to try this.

Easy throws, run game, with an occasional deep shot. That’s what we’ll see from Bama.

Our offense scoring will make them press to keep up. Let’s hope JD & crew are up to the task.

So much modern zone is essentially man/zone hybrid anyway. It’s pretty rare that teams, even ones who play a lot of zone, utilize a ton of spot dropping.

We don’t need to shut them out. Just make a couple of stops and a couple of turnovers. I think zone is our best shot for turnovers and keeping their qb from making a big play with his feet.

Yeah, I think we'll see a lot. But I expect to see man about 25% of the time.

I like the idea of man with a single high safety over Burton. And use Perkins to cover the back so he can spy the QB some. Cage rush the QB.

Stay two deep all night long and take away the deep ball. Play the run, keep Milroe in the pocket, and make them beat us underneath.

Idk, I think they are going to gash our defense left and right.

Match quarters from a two deep shell. Should give us the hats needed in the run game while also protecting the deep part of the field. That's what I'd run a healthy dose of saturday.

Probably, but I would take my chances with man to man. Yea Burton will make some plays and no one can stop that. The questions is how many? I think we have to def stop the run first and foremost. This includes Milroe running as well. If we do that, I don't think Milroe can beat us with his arm outside of a few long passes.

Yep. They will get it out of Milroe's hands early and make us tackle. Then they will pick and choose when they take the deep shot.

Milroe can't sit there and throw 10-15 yard darts against even our secondary. He's not good at that at all. If that's happening often it means Bama can do literally anything they want, and we will need 50 to maybe win.

I think Alabama will Score 35 but we will score 47

We will only slow Alabama down when Milroe makes mistakes and he will make mistakes.
