The only thing of value that I got out of that incoherent rambling is that he really wants to have the game played, as opposed to potentially having it canceled. Other than that it was mostly just sidestepping.

If and only if LSU has to play it to win the West. And even then, on LSU's terms (money and moving the A&M game if 11/19 is the date).

He literally said nothing.

Didn't answer one question that Gary asked. And Gary never asked him why the game wasn't moved.

If this doesn't cost Sankey his job it's a shame. There are zero excuses for not playing tomorrow or Monday in Gainesville

I thought Sankey had no balls before that interview, now I'm convinced he has none! I am no fan of Danielson, but he asked all the right questions and Sankey ducked them all. When asked if he had the final say so on if and when the game would be played, he refused to give a answer! What a puss!

Agree with you 4W. Sorry fat fingered down vote. He did sound like a wet blanket. And a yes man. Not a leader. How the hell does someone like that end up leading the SEC? Just amazing. I blamed him from the beginning and my angst still points directly at him.

Doesn't work like that.

Can't just throw a game together days before.

If they HAD actually grown some sack and all come together and made a goddamn descision on TUESDAY instead of hemming and hawing until THURSDAY, we would be playing. This is egregious!

Sankey sounded just like a damn politician.

It would not be determined days before. LSU will be all but sure whether they will need to play that game by the end of the Oct. 22 games.

We still have Alabama, Arkansas, and Texas A&M after that.

The SEC is in trouble with Sankey being the commissioner. Under Slive the conference universities marched in unison. This guy is going to cause the universities to turn on each other.

It's about knowing if LSU controls their own destiny in November based on the need for a tiebreaker or not with A&M and Bama.

Sure because that would make him look like less of an arse, but the problem is how to equitably fix his screw up.

Danielson just said that if he only had 5 more minutes he could have nailed him. I think he did a good jov without the extra time. This is so sad.

Well Gary we have to come together.
So weak. I just half-yelled a curseword and flipped to another channel.

So fricking weak.

I agree. The more this shite builds the worst it's gonna get. Tell the 2 schools what's going to happen. You have that power as commissioner

Dude is weak as hell

That doesn't make sense.

So you schedule a game for a certain date (tentatively), and then just scrap it if LSU isn't in contention?

What if Tennessee loses two games and Florida is in position to win the East at that point? There's more than one piece to this puzzle.

Here's what you're missing. If you're LSU, you really should only care about whether the game helps or hurts your chances to win the West.

So what if the game winds up not mattering for the West race if you don't take care of business? LSU just wants control of its destiny. But only reschedule it in the first place if you know you'll likely need to win it keep tiebreakers favorable to you in place.

And if LSU loses to Ole Miss on the 22nd, tell the SEC to stick it because you know you don't need to play the game.

Yeah, that's not gonna work.
