Because we're thin at DT,
According to Miles' presser today, Brockers and Livingston are being moved inside to go along with Downs, Davenport and Nevis... Not to mention the guys we have coming in this fall. How many DT's do you think we need to fill 2 starting spots?

Montgomery is staying at DE. Ken Adams or he will probably start at one DE spot while Lavar Edwards starts at the other DE spot.

This is a mistake and even if it were true, makes no sense whatsoever...

But we'll see retards here trying to argue a point he'd make a good DT, all 250lbs of Montgomery...

The same Montgomery who was getting praise about his performance in practices last year.

Until I see it,I won't believe it. The guy is a quick edge-rusher,and just doesn't have the size to play inside. His first step is just that good. I can't believe this is true!!

He'd better gain some weight.

Montgomery was clocked at 4.49 at 245.. i dont see DT in his future. In my opinion he could be a great edge rusher with that kind of speed and moves

Ok, I'll explain as if to children, since that's apparently what I'm dealing with here.

When scouts talk about someone with the "frame" to add 300 lbs, they're not talking about a 300 lb doorstop. They're talking about someone who can add weight and still play football.

Terence Cody is a freak of nature because he can dunk a basketball at 367 lbs (or so).

Everyone on here (or so it seemed like) complained that Lyle Hitt was undersized. Do you think LSU starved him? Or he was anorexic? The guy simply didn't have the frame to add more weight and still be an effective football player.

People like Cody and also Sam Montgomery, who have big frames, aren't a dime a dozen.

Contrary to what some here might think...and I use the term loosely, as it is The Rant...not every football player has the same theoretical top end for bulk.

Check out the picture I took of Nevis, Brockers, Downs, Alexander. I think it is Brockers who will be moved to DT. He is big in person. I also have a video of Sam M. and if I figure out how to upload it i will show yall how much smaller he is than Brockers.

not likely true...With the moves of Pep and Brockers inside that gives us faster and longer DTs that get off the ball and disrupt with speed, length and height(its nice to be able to cut off passing lanes over the middle again). This in addition to quick leverage guys like Nevis, Downs and Davenport. We're gonna be more o'k inside with no need for Sam to go in there

They need to move Brockers to DT and leave Sam at DE. Sam is a quick pass-rushing DE.

either him , or Logan, logans getting big...brokers is more like a strong s d-end. Sam is definately pass rush d-end...
