In addition, I would bet, that if someone investigated this cat Tony Pauline, it would be found out that he has ties to some other SEC school.

Because other SEC programs really get worked up over a player from another school's draft stock...

Respected as one of the most detailed and well-researched NFL Draft analysts in the business, TFY Draft Preview President Tony Pauline has brought in-depth player information to football fans for more than a decade.

Originally working with reporters and draft publications in the New York area more than 15-years ago, Tony branched out in 1997, quickly making the TFY Draft Preview a household name amongst draftniks and NFL scouts.

The 2006 TFY Draft Guide will be the ninth consecutive year Tony has published what is considered the most comprehensive NFL Draft guide, a 64-page magazine covering more than 681 player profiles and in-depth scouting reports, all of which can be found at NFLDraft.theinsiders.com.

The draft is a year round event for Tony as he spends his summers watching three-to-four game films daily, then his fall weekends traveling the country to personally scout the nations top-prospects in action.

Since 2000 Tony offered what is now considered groundbreaking, live coverage of both the Senior Bowl and combine, the most important pre-draft scouting events of the year. He has also been the NFL Draft analyst for SportsIllustrated.com since 2002. Always the first to report stories from either venue, his exhaustive evaluations throughout the year are used as a research tool by NFL franchises and fans alike.

I always thought he was more concerned about himself than the team, playing safe to avoid injuries.

and here we go. LSU coaches would never consistently "slam" any player under Les Miles and Sonic Sam has made his share of big plays. Granted he had a disappointing year, but stop this "selfish player" bullshite. He was a team leader.

The world in general doesn't give a shite about LSU. The world (and in particular what passes for journalism in today's world) cares about throwing stuff out there that will get people to look at a paper, a magazine, a website, or a TV show so that advertisers will pay them to keep throwing stuff out there. As someone above pointed out, this guy predicted that Russell Wilson would be Flynn's backup. This is relevant not because he made a mistake--mistakes happen-- but because he found it boosted his profile more to dump on a guy who was high profile (Wilson)than a guy who wasn't.

Yes, Sam's name was on the list Moffit put out. Along with Simon, and/or Ware/Ford I believe.

He certainly called the Russell Wilson thing right.
I was impresed by his professionalism as a journalist when he named and quoted the LSU coaches that were slamming the players at the combine.

Maybe this is what they were referring to...

Montgomery said, “You know, some weeks when we didn’t have to play the harder teams, there were some times when effort was not needed,” he said.

“But when we had the big boys coming in — the Bamas or the South Carolinas — I grabbed close to those guys and went all-out.”

"Of course, this is a new league, the NFL and there are no small teams, small divisions. It is all Alabamas and LSUs every week. It's definitely something I have to get adjusted to, but I'm sure with the right coaching I will be fine."

In the Advocate but also on Yahoo now.
