Birdie on 3. Sam has a 3 shot lead with 15 holes to go.

He’s on the decline.... needs a birdie or two down this final stretch

That drive may bump him off the tie.

He is tanking hard. That Par 3 was a great shot for a birdie. At least he is completely done. Freaking Fineau has taken it

He played well, I don’t think it’s fair to say he “tanked hard” he shot -2, left a few shots out on the course but Finau shot a 64 and Homa a 66 (and missed a 3 footer to win on 18).

He got beat, he’ll be hard on himself for his mistakes I’m sure but I don’t think it’s fair to say he choked or tanked.

He gave up 3 strokes in 4 holes. That birdie on 17 helped ease it some. I would say he lost his swing those 4 holes and I think he would also. Couldn’t really find a fairway consistently from 12 on.

sometimes 3 times a week for the last 22 years. I still suck as bad as I did when I was in my 30’s and didn’t have terrible arthritis and a bum back. Plus the cancer that screwed up my eyes is just the topping on the cake.

Of course I haven’t earned about 10MM on the tour abs have never been paid to play. I’ve never broken 80. Best I’ve ever shot was an 81. There’s no picking up with my friends either. You have to finish.

And for some guys it always just happens when they are in contention on the back nine of the fourth round. He choked.

I don't know how many times has he been in contention on the back nine of the fourth round and failed. Do you, or are you just drizzling out of your arse?

Choking means losing concentration, getting out of routine, getting out of rhythm, things like that, which I doubt you have any clue about.

The only person on earth who knows if he choked is Burns. If he did, he'll learn from it. Assholes can shut up.
