College football and the NFL have a perfect balance, and college football is great.
Basketball has lost that balance, and it's really hurt the college game.
Don't bring that crap anywhere near NCAA football.

Sometimes I feel like the average age of posters on the OT is 14, and the average age of posters on the Rant is 8.

The USFL was great for that. If you're too young to remember it, they took it completely seriously, the game coverage was similar to NFL or college (no cheesy stuff, just football. Announcer and color commentator). Trump and the others pushed hard for good talent, so there were plenty of name guys, either stolen from the NFL (Doug Williams for example) or outbid from the draft (Hershel, Mike Rozier, Jim Kelly, Doug Flutie, Steve Young, etc).
We'd be approaching the playoffs right around now.
