Which fan base has a closer attachment and love for their team? It’s hard to beat Saints fans but LSU is its own worst enemy. No one criticizes LSU more than LSU fans

Saints have more love. Lots of LSU fans whose fandom is a function of the W-L record.

Probably because LSU habitually underperformed for the last 8 years.

I take LSU over the saints any day. LSU has a bigger fan base because it covers all Louisiana and big base in Houston. Where as the saints are mostly south Louisiana. LSU fans are diehards where saints fan are bandwagon fans.

This isn't exclusive to LSU. It happens in every fan base. I've never been able to grasp why people on this board think this is only an LSU thing.

There’s something special about being an LSU alum and supporting your team. You don’t get that with the Saints.

While paying for tickets and sitting in the stands because we support our team when we know they’re objectively terrible.

I love LSU and I’m a Saints fan. There’s a big difference for me.

They are equal to me. Saints losses don't affect me as much, though, due to the nature of professional sports. More games, losses aren't as impactful, etc.

Yeah I went to LSU too. I was there when we won in 07 and went in 11. Winning NCs was nothing compared to what the Saints did for the NOLA community since Katrina

It’s a shame the Saints didn’t move to another state after Katrina. Their “awesome” trash fans could have gone with them. Would have been nice. Baton Rouge Pre 2009 would agree with this statement, but I know most of you NFL watching commies will disagree.

You're delusional if you think that LSU Football has a bigger fanbase than the Saints. There are Saints fans all over the world. Example: On Facebook, The Saints Team page has over 4 million followers (8th most in the NFL). Conversely, the LSU sports page has 413,000.

All kinds of dumb here. I'm a BR native and have been here for 44 years as of two days from now as well as a life long Saints fan. This is just a dumb thing to say.

Go read Saints talk. There are people on there ragging Brees the first time he throws an incompletion.
