Looking back at one of the truly great tigers of all time, Sage Ryan looked the part in high school. To say that he will carry that kind of impact into Tiger Stadium is yet to be seen but this guy is certainly capable of doing just that. He may be one of the top recruits at LSU over the last several years.

We needed big time safeties. He and Derrick Davis Jr are going to wreck shite.

Problem is, guys like him will leave early if they find success here.
And it'll keep them from entering certain company

Yep and the new trend is if you are out of the title hunt at some point your junior year those type of players, if indeed Sage is, are going to start shutting it down early at a much higher clip.

What a great comparison! The instant I read it I thought how apt it is. I truly believe Derrick Davis will make the bigger impact at safety next season and in the succeeding ones, but Sage Ryan’s impact will be all over the field, as a special teamer and nickle back. I think we signed a great pair of DBs.

Langlois is more like Adams than Ryan is. Not saying of that magnitude, but of that style. I think Langlois will be good, too. I expect Langlois and Davis to be our starting safeties in 2022, and Ryan will be our starting nickle.

It's a big stretch to compare him with Casanova, but I hope he's close to that good. He was more highly recruited, but recruiting has changed enormously over the years

Tommy wasn't highly recruited. Tulane was his biggest offer until LSU offered him late. He was still leaning toward Tulane until Pat Screen convinced Tommy that his long-term future in Louisiana would be better if he went to LSU.

Way to set impossible expectations for a guy who hasn’t set foot in the field yet.

So I’m now guessing he will the next HOF level player to never see the field because coaches don’t know as much as fans.

Yes, a Male named Sage. Thank goodness his name isn't Minkah or Ha Ha. That would be embarrassing.

At this point, I will be happy if they just don't let receivers run past them.

Absolutely. And thats what keeps them from greatness. Hanging tough and rebuilding and winning is what makes people great

Tommy Casanova is one of the great ones - hope Sage is too but he has not even played a college down yet
