I’d love to see the student section move in the corner behind the opponents bench

No you can't. Scientifically impossible. Did you not see that mythbuster's episode?

If you don't think the fan base and apathy matter to Will Wade, it does. Dude wants to win and wants support.

If they don't come to the games and get better crowd support, Wade won't be here long term.

I agree with all of this but I think Will Wade is smart enough to know that this things take time. The crowds are already better than they were at the beginning of the year and they will keep improving. If they aren’t packed and on another level when Tennessee comes then we are talking about a different story and I may change my view on this. Let’s all remember that basketball has been irrelevant for majority of the last 25 years.

Unfortunately to get the fan base back, they need to have some back to back seasons where they go to NCAA tourney and make some decent runs through NCAA.

Of course Wade will have to do that in order to get attention from other schools when certain jobs come open that might lure him away.

I don’t post here much but I lurk daily.. I just wanna see us support this team bc they deserve it. I strongly disagree with you on this being the best student section since OU game. The Bama game a few weeks back was better

As a student (78-82), going to football and basketball games was an awesome experience and we were rowdy, obnoxious, and gave the refs and opposing team hell. Baseball not so much because attendance there was nearly non-existent. Skip established a winning culture that created the attendance machine that it is now. But it didn't happen overnight.
Oh and students need to earn the right to move back to courtside sideline.

This is what's sad, they really don't even have seats. When they moved the students from mid court (which had chairs and chairbacks) and created the student seating behind the court, they installed purple plastic benches that are pretty much made for standing...

Last night as I was standing in the student section, there were other students who were sitting in the 200 level who were yelling at the students who were standing and doing what you are supposed to do to sit down. It wasn’t just one person either, it was multiple people who were super frustrated at there fellow students for STANDING in a STUDENT SECTION. What happened to this school? We used to have rowdy fans regardless of the sport and now we have weak students who cry when they can’t sit during a basketball game. I was astonished at it but I guess I’m not surprised.

When I was there late 90s-2000s the students who got there early and sat in the man section just off the court would stand. There was more student seating behind that and some of them would sit. If it was a big game most would stand but this seemed to break it up.

fricking pussies. Boot the frick up! LSU games are pathetic on TV. You can hear a pen drop there. All I see from the TV is a bunch of blue hairs sitting in stands to far away from the court.

Then I turn to Auburn and all I see is crazy fans yelling and screaming. Something needs to change.

Brilliant observation! That must be why the atmosphere at Cameron Indoor is so lame...
