He got my applause when he was here. Now, as as the opposing coach of the Gumps, he get's the boo!...and the finger!

Saban (with an assist from Mark Emert) was the best thing to happen to LSU football in the history of the program.

On that point we will just simply have to disagree.

Bama already has a feeling of what to expect

quote:

"We talk about where we're staying and who's going to ride on what bus to the games," Saban said on Wednesday at the SEC's spring business meetings. "Somebody on our staff -- I'm not going to tell who -- said, 'I hate to tell you this, but when we play LSU, ain't none of us riding on your bus.'"

The Gumps had a team award for something, most arrested, best mug shot, most spirited, you know what I mean, named the Sylvester Croom Award, after you know who. They renamed the award when Croom got to MSU.....the Cowbells were to much of a threat.

Now that is no class and you want me to honor their coach?

NC and at least a small one in 07's.

I disagree....He had a major role in the NC in 07. If he had not left LSU, LSU would not have won in 07. Glad he left. I will boo, curse, spit, piss on, etc......on the MF......

My major problem with Nick Saban was that while he was at LSU, EVERY YEAR we had to deal with whether or not he would leave for the NFL. Every frickin year he and his agent held that shite over our head. We all knew he was going at some point so when he did I guess it wasn't that big of a surprise. What irks my a-- is that Bama gets him without any future NFL aspirations. He used LSU. Got what he wanted. (NFL job) Then realized it wasn't what he wanted. Quit. Went to a rival program to get what he wanted all along. (To coach College and be the highest paid).

With that said, for me, I hope we anihilate Bama every year he is there. I personally would like to hear dead silence when he enters the stadium. He's expecting boos...Give him the opposite.

and LSU used him to get the program back at the top, it is called the free market, and people use each other to get what they want. it works.

tiger baiting him would be fun. booing him will just make us look stupid, but hey it is a free country.

If I had the chance:

"Hi Nick, thanks for everything you did."
"Now, you'll have to excuse me, TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT!"

In every loss during the Miles' era, LSU has been in all of them with the exception of one...the UGA loss in 2005. alot of Saban's losses were much more lopsided. BAMA 02, UGA, AU 04, Texas 02, Ole Miss 01, Tennessee in 01, hell even the Florida loss in 03 we were never in the game after the Gators took the lead. Then add UAB, Iowa, Arkansas (to won the west championship in 2000)and almost the Kentucky game in 00 and i dont see his greatness. He was mediocre at MSU, great at LSU because of the talent that LSU brings in, and he'll be mediocre at Bama. Hell, he sucked at Miami. Great gameday coach my arse. I don't respect him, therefore i don't like him. he was a deuche when he was here, he was a deuche at miami and he's a deuche at bama.frick saban.

The absolute best thing anyone could do is to do NOTHING! Any response at all is acknowledging him and his relevance to LSU. His ego feeds off of other peoples reactions to him. The greatest insult to him would be to simply act as if he is no different than Todd Dodge of NTSU.
He's actually looking forward to a big negative reaction, knowing it will pysche up his team even more. Just as LSU's players were pysched up last year to win for Les, Bama's players will be pysched up to win for him. Simply treat the game as any other big game on the schedule.
I remember when Pepsodent Paul returned to Tiger Stadium with SC. Everybody thought there would be a tremendous boo. But there was none and one of the headlines in the paper the next day was, "The boo that never was!"

One can only wonder what our clever student section will come up with.

"F Saban"?

"Saban's an a-hole"?

It doesn't matter what we discuss in this thread, the student section will make us all look like retards that night.

I appreciate what he did to get us a NC, but I think if he stays we don't win the NC last year because of his attitude. He tee'd things up but Les is the man and I can't wait to kick Alabama's butt and their head coach.

TIGER BAIT! I'm an offensive guy and he drove me nuts with his conservative offensive game planning. If we open things up against AU the two times he lost there, we kill them.

Great defensive guy, but way too conservative on offense.

At some point a ULM chant to Saban would be a nice farewell.

You don't know that PJ. For starters who would we have hired if we didn't hire Saban? I give Saban credit for what he did at LSU. He did a great job, but he is not the only good coach in America. Richt, Tuberville and Rodriguez were all names thrwon around after DiNardo was fired. Now I know you are going to say they haven't won a NC. But they have rebuild programs into NC contenders. The fact is in 2003 (and 2007) LSU got some huge breaks with other teams losing that the Richt (2002 and 2007), and Tubs (2004) did not.
