You are delusional if you think this. We give him heart palpitations every year. Outside of Ole Miss who they always gift shite too, we are all they contend with in the season. You sure as frick don't let them get any stronger.

Haha. The program hasn't won a meaningful game in over 5 years. Talk about delusion.

But Saban would not let Kiffen come to LSU. And he DIDNT! And Kiff is now making far less than the "lateral" move to LSU would have provided (see: Aranda)

Kiffin wants to be a coach at a big Power 5 school. That was not going to happen by being OC at LSU. He needs to prove that he is responsible enough to handle running a program. He is taking less now so that he can see his dream of running a P5 program come true.

3 good years at FAU and he could land at AU. Wrap that around your head for a minute.

Who else has given them a good run in regular season. They win on last minute drives twice, beat us in a game that was 0-0 in fourth quarter (with interim coach). You think he would be happy for us getting the best of the best as coordinators and assistants if he can help it at all? Make yourself stronger while lessening your opponent. Always.

I agree with this. But a couple of years at a rival school coaching against Saban would not have hurt his stock either.

Are you serious, Clark?

You seem to be in a state of disrepair over Saban and Alabama. You need to get over it, and get over yourself.

$950,000 per year for 5 years for Kiffen at FAU?!? He could/should have gotten $2,000,000/yr

so if we offered close to 2 million which we probably did and he still says no what then? Are you really so stupid you can't fathom why he chose to be a HC over being an OC? The guy is loaded and wants to be a HC again at a major university...he thinks his best bet is to take a cut in pay and start being a HC again.

Correct. This collective effort with the media and SEC took place after the 2011 regular season. LSU had a good chance to win one more in 2012, but blew it.

Now it is going to be very difficult to get back there.

Enjoy the climb uphill. It will be entertaining, to say the least.

Not only do some disagree, but chuckle at the thought of the things rolling around in your head.

Just curious, what is the Saban and Bama connection to the DE transferring from aTm? It's part of the conspiracy, right?

Wow... you must be a little light on cash. You can do anything with cash!

Saban could easily make the decision easy on Kiffen.

I know I could. Just the way it is.

Ask LSU how many $100,000 donations they get yearly. And that's just from hard working alumni.. not old oil sponsors.

If you aren't in the millionaires club, don't talk about who wants what pay!

GoldenBandMan, you are more right than you will ever know. Bama and their fans, despite this current streak, know that they must eliminate their toughest division opponent first, then move on to everything else.

They know this is LSU.

However, with the new standards in place for a playoff, after 2011 they no longer have to go too far above and beyond to eliminate LSU. But they are smart....they are kicking us while we are down.

We would do the same if we could, but we, along with every other SEC school, will never have the tools at our disposal that they do.
