eh, I think the loss of Zenon and Jackson has hurt us more than Dorsey, Highsmith, and Steltz.

2 CB's who had started 2 straight seasons is a rare find. Especially when both were draft quality.

And the team we have now is twice as talented overall [as the 2004 team].

And we didn't have a dominant running game in 2004.

And so on and so forth.

Are you serious? 2004 LSU was #1 in the SEC #20 in the NCAA with rushing yards per game. We had junior Addai (1st Round 2006), soph Broussard, soph Vincent, and senior Carey. Remember the OL -- senior Ben Wilkerson (current starter for the Atlanta Falcons, 2004 Rimington Trophy), junior Andrew Whitworth (2nd Round 2006), junior Rudy Niswanger (signed by Kansas City Chiefs in 2006).

On DL we had senior Marcus Spears (1st Round 2005), junior Claude Wroten (3rd Round 2006), junior Kyle Williams (5th Round 2006), junior Mel Oliver (6th Round 2006), sophomore Chase Pittman (7th Round 2007).

LB were led by senior Lionel Turner (all-SEC 2004).

Secondary had senior Corey Webster (2nd Round 2005), senior Travis Daniels (4th Round 2005), senior Ronnie Prude (signed with Baltimore Ravens in 2006), sophomore LaRon Landry (1st Round 2007), etc.

Maybe Saban will take the U Dub job and we can open the season against him next year.
