As much as some try to diss it I've found that fan attitude does trickle down to player attitude. Maybe not 100% but there's an influence that is undeniable.
Are you serious?
Yes. There is no way, especially over the holidays, that fan attitude doesn't influence some of how the players think. During school they hear it all day long from their classmates. When they drive around town they hear it again. But when they go home they hear it VERY LOUDLY because these are people they haven't seen in awhile and you know they want to discuss the team. Bang your head on a wall if you want but unless Miles has stowed them all away in a bunker somewhere they are going to hear what's going on around them. And if they hear it they will be affected by it.

Yeah, and we had two losses. You could have these arguments all day. But, yes...we had to sit and wait for others to lose and it all fell the right way for us. We didn't bitch about the process in place back then.
LSU played an extra game in both years.
WVU lost at home and cost them the National Championship...hmmmmm losing at home, that's interesting...I guess it just matters when you lose?
I don't care what you or anyone argue. It isn't the same...It is what it is at this point...but you darn right I am mad about it, because it will never happen again, and people saying LSU was lucky in 2007 are correct to a point.
But we still had a better resume than Alabama could achieve this year. by far!!!
In 2007, LSU finished 5-0 against the final top 15 teams... That's a fact.. At best Alabama could finish 3-1 this year and not have SEC hardware... (they have to beat LSU and Penn state has to win)
The truth is, LSU has more to do with Alabama being in this game than they do on their own. Their schedule is not that good..
I don't like Alabama....never have... They are good alright...but we don't need to help them earn their spot for National Championships. And that is what has happened this year...It's nuts how it worked out...
I'm with Gary D, I am not for rematches under the current system...Why? because it doesn't make sense and it only benefits the loser of the first game..and they had the home feild advantage..

the team approach is "leave no doubt"
LSU will be ready to prove they are #1 and do it convincingly... If you know anything about Les Miles...His teams dominate in bowl games...especially in domes..LSU is scary good with a month of preparation on a clean feild....
Deep down, I truly believe LSU will win the game.., but sure I am scared they might lose....that's part of being a fan...excited and scared at the same time.

Dear lord...take off the purple glasses and be realistic. The two best teams are playing. Don't be scared.
So, if OSU had pulled off the win against Iowa State in overtime, that would have made them a better team than Bama? Let me answer that: no!!!! But their resume would have been better because they would be undefeated. It's not about who the best 2 teams are, it's about who has accomplished the most and who is more deserving. Bama had their shot.

I don't disagree with your previous post really. My point is everyone is bitching about the process. Well, the way it is hasn't necessarily hurt us in the past. You have to take the bad with the good.
I guess I'm in the minority that is looking forward to beating bama twice in one year. It will be a thing of beauty and I can't wait!

Perhaps the best point of all arguments!

the FG OSU missed which is in doubt makes them #3 in the country instead of #2?
Alabama was eating popcorn or playing Georgia Southern while these events unfolded...

You know I do not know what your problem is because we DO NOT AGREE with you, I guess you think everyone should.
We are going to kick bama's arse, I personally do not think they belong there and would rather play OSU, so stuff it
YOU KNOW APEX YOU NEED TO READ YOUR ORIGINAL DAMN POST
You play both ends against the middle

Can you be specific? I have been consistent on the alabama issue from day one....My arguement has never changed.
Miles doesn't mind playing Alabama...but that is just coach speak in the public eye.
Saban acts like this rematch is no big deal, while failing to acknowledge it's never happened in CFB history! NEVER! Why is that?
Because the winner of the conference goes a bigger and better bowl than the rivals they defeated... it really isn't hard to grasp
ESPN has just done a snow job on the whole thing and we are forced to accept it...its that simple.
LSU got Alabama in the game...it certainly wasn't their # of wins over top 25 teams

Seems to me you do not like it either from your comments

So I do not either and will say this long after we whip the gump's arse and guess what, so will a lot of others.

One more time. Its not about any of this shite. It's who is #1 and who is #2. There are a million reasons why people vote the way they do. Your opinion is just one. It may be shared by a lot of folks but from what I understand we had about 75% of the #2 vote. That means the majority felt that we were the #2 team. That's all that is necessary. The rest is just noise.
Disclaimer. I would think the same way most of the LSU nation does if the situation were reversed. But it wouldn't change anything. We would still be playing you guys Jan9, period.

Wrong. The #1 team is playing the #2 team. Big difference. How do you know OkSt is not better than both of us? No way to know for sure.

Yeah we all know how those votes went down, you bury that shite all you want, it will continue to rise to the top forever.

Nick Saban is thrilled that ESPN helped Alabama get into the big BCS game against LSU. He feels like the television spot light was really the prize for what he needed. To keep recruiting the better high school football players. The Bright Lights and the big Televised football games is the attraction even if Bama loses. So in that respect Saban has already gained his heart desires. Alabama lost on Nov 5th. But still come out smelling like a rose. All the other team like Oklahoma State gets the wrong end.
You LSU fans don't realize it but every time you say OkSt should be #2 you are dissing your own team. I believe LSU deserved the win on Nov5. But it was as close a game as possible which means we're pretty evenly matched. If you say OkSt is a better team than us then you're saying they are better than you. OSU lost to a team that shouldn't have been competitive with them. Neither LSU or Bama had a close game the whole damn year. So, do you really think OkSt is a better team than Bama? Really?

The BCS shoves this idea that the regular season matters so much that it is somewhat offensive that we are going to have to essentially replay a game we already won.
Bama is the second best team in the nation, I don't have a problem with the rematch based on that. But, I really don't think that people who do have a problem with it are just scared or being whiny. I guess the point is that we already know, according to on field results, who is better between LSU and Alabama. LSU beat Bama in tuscalooser. If Bama wanted a chance to play in the national championship they should have won on the 5th.
Ultimately, I feel good about planning Bama again, but the BCS has proven that the schtick about the regular season being so important and being it's own playoff is bullshite.
