I love semantics. Your point is Saban isn't a great recruiter, right???

I never said that. I think Saban is one of the best recruiters in the country.

but i also think that people who say the he "won countless recruiting national championships "

need to be corrected.

its not semantics, its correcting someone who was incorrect. roll on the floor and laugh about that jackass

I can't stand Saban but he's the best coach in college football. We just have to deal with it.

Again, I don't dispute Saban made some of them into great players. However, that being the case, then why did LSU lose 5, 3, 5 and 3 games during four of Saban's five seasons at LSU? Was it due to game time coaching?

It was 4,3,5, and 3 but I get your point. Had Saban not blown UAB, Arky and Iowa games I guess even more folks would be at the altar. The SEC is just a tremendously competetive league and any kind of hiccup can ruin your season. Or two seasons in the case of Perriloux. I really feel like the Tigers will be more in the mix for titles next season with the continuing talent train and progression of the younger guys.

lou tepper

was not the reason Dinardo got fired. It might have played a part in it, but if you remember correctly, Dinardo got involved in other extra curricular activities such as resturants and TV adds etc that made him lose touch with football.

How many coaches walk in to a program with 3 QB's who will make NFL rosters?

Oh, you're one of those guys. Maybe the grammar police will show up soon too.

Regardless, Saban is a tremendous recruiter. The fans that start these topics have an agenda that makes no sense whatsoever. Saban took over an LSU program reeling from 15 losses in last 2 years and 7 losing seasons in the last 10 years played.

He lost to UAB, he lost to Iowa (after he took Dolphins job), he lost too many games in 2002 (regardless that we were 6-1 until Mauck got hurt).

He did those terrible, terrible things while establishing LSU as a national powerhouse and winning 2 SEC championships and it's first NC in 45 years. But he lost to UAB.

Now he's at Bama and went 8-0 in the SEC in his 2nd season while Les Miles went 3-5 in his 4th season. He's wrapped up the SEC West on November 7th in his 3rd season. But he lost to ULM 2 years ago, we get it.

No, im not here correcting anyone's grammar.

But I think there is a pretty big difference between a grammar mistake and a blatant misstatement of facts.

He said that Saban had "countless" #1 recruiting classes.

well thats just wrong, he had 1

I corrected him just like I would correct someone who said Saban had zero #1 recruiting classes.

I dont understand why it is you're so bothered by me stating facts?

I just enjoyed how you pointed out his mistake while completing overlooking his point.

That is what makes the rant funny. Yes, his facts were indeed incorrect, yet that does not negate his point of Saban recruiting very well for LSU.

Would Saban win on the road losing his starting QB, RB, CB, numerous linemen, and overcoming a horrible call?

well i also followed up by saying he had 2 Top 5 recruiting classes at LSU.

I wasnt overlooking his point. Im well aware of how well saban recruited at LSU.

i was just correcting one of his arguments.
