It worked!

Actually, I do think Jones makes sense, but even more now.

Name I haven't heard mentioned,

is Stan Heath. I thought he was a pretty good coach while at Arkansas, and doing a good job at UCF. Beyond that, realisticly, to get a big time coach to take this program at this point in time, seems unrealistic. Top young assistant who is a great recruiter may be the best choice now.

It would be scary with the players he would bring in as head coach.

Frank Wilson

is too young to be head coach you say? Consider Mike Tomlin, hired in 2007 by Pittsburg at 34 years of age. Frank is now 38, I believe. Would this save our recruiting class? I think so. Would this help us bring in top recruiting classes each year? I think so. With Frank as the face of LSU football, and with top coordinators, who were allowed to coach, I think he would make all tiger fans very proud.
It is simple: If he wants to play on Sundays, he needs to learn the WR position.

Size Matters

I love the fact that we are getting DB's in the 6'-1" to 6'-3"range. With the trend toward tall receivers, we need some big cover guys. Also, big CB's can become FS's and SS's that have good ball skills and can cover like CB's. If I had it my way I would play 4 CB's in the secondary, and make the largest, most physical guy my SS. Congrats to Les and welcome to LSU!

Unless RB's can play DT,

we don't need 4 RB's in one signing class. We need to recruit for need. And that would be WR, DT and OL. Besides, at least L.S. didn't go to Auburn or University of Spoiled Children (USC).
How many coaches walk in to a program with 3 QB's who will make NFL rosters?
With Alem starting, we really run a 3-4 defense. I think he was most effective used on pass situations and third downs. Also, coming in on third downs, he is more rested and more effective rushing the QB.
Envy over time grows in to hate. Living in MS, I can see that these Ole Miss fans can not get us out of their heads.
Yesterday this was on the channel 16 early news in Jackson. I was struck by their obvious admission that Ole Miss is inferior to LSU by doing this. I guess to Ole Miss fans, the perfect season is beating us, rather than going to Atlanta and playing for a championship. It's actually kind of sad that they cann't dream higher than beating us.

I enjoyed the video, it was very cute. However, I was surprised to see it at MSU.

MSU-RV Parking

Just spoke with MSU campus police and they had no idea about limited RV parking. Does anyone know if RV parking will be limited for LSU fans?
If memory serves me correct, Mawae was 6-5, 240 in High school.

Corporations have thousands of vice-presidents, but in reality its meaningless. He wants to be the CEO, and who could blame him?

If I thought he would even be at LSU 2 years, I'd say go for it. Just remember who the puppet-master is...Jimmy Sexton.

If Ole Miss had given O one more year, with the QB they had this year, Mr. O and Jimmy Sexton would be having a field day with colleges bidding for his services. He will be someone's defensive coordinator next year, at least. Let him go LSU!!!

Not A Good Fit....

Who in their right mind thinks that an ex-head coach will remain a defensive line coach for more than a year. I promise you that one year from today that Ed O. will be looking to move on and up from either LSU or UT, especially with Jimmy Sexton as his agent. So if O's recruiting is why you want him, consider this, he will be leaving this time next year. Personally, I would rather have a guy who can tell recruits that he will be around for a while. That means a lot to recruits, so if a change is made with the DL coach, the guy from the bears sounds like a great fit.

Really, what did Palini coach, besides being a full-time defensive coordinator at LSU?
