I’m glad we got Kelly, but I would have enjoyed getting Deion Sanders.
The negative thing about Kelly is you have no chance at a one-coach dynasty like Georgia is staring at.
So you believe Sanders has more ability to build a dynasty than Kelly?
Based on what? Lincoln Riley was a golden boy, media favorite. How is that working out?
Let Sanders build a winning program before labeling him a dynasty maker.

I wonder how many people actually listened to the clip, because he says some things about the program and last few coaches (facts) and then offers his feelings about what he wanted in the newest hire (opinion).
I did. And his comments around needing a diversity study are a shame. You certainly don’t want to feel as though minorities in the AD feel as though there is no room to climb. That is an issue across the board in corporate America as well. So I understand his point there.
My bigger issue is with his comments re: Kelly overall. He basically said any white man can win a title at LSU. I do not believe that is true. We have had great success but it has not been easy.
He also mentioned “a young Ryan Clark” which my response would be, get into coaching! If you really want to make a difference in this space then dive in head first, like Deion.

But he could at least point out that Kelly had 6 paid assistants that are younger black men and numerous others around the program in support roles.
This as well. I just think it comes across poorly to say “Kelly will do well but only because anyone can win at LSU”. It’s just not something one should say about their own program.
LSU went and got what was widely considered the best coach available for the job, period. That coach built out a staff which is highly diverse. I just don’t get the beef.

LSU hired a first class FOOTBALL coach not a social worker. They needed someone to fun a tight ship not someone to message shoulders. In saying that they hire people and have a department to manage the specific areas RC spoke about.

I would not give that POS two seconds of my time. You can never convince me that he & Cory were the instigators and cancers of the 2020 season. He is a racist POS. He is a disgrace to the university and should be banned from campus for life.

Players like him? He went to a fricking private Catholic school in New Orleans. He lived in a nice house in a nice neighborhood. He hung out with mostly white chicks in high school. He wants so bad to be some poor oppressed black man but truthfully he had more fricking advantages in life than most people regardless of color.
This is what y'all don't freaking UNDERSTAND, it doesn't matter what advantages or riches a Black man has in this Country, he will still go through hell.
You would be crying if you got racially profiled for just being Black!!!
If you and Ryan Clark got in a fight right now, they would most likely arrest Ryan. He definitely has more money than you.
Y'all think it's about being raised in good neighborhoods, schools and universities but it's about skin color but not your skin color.

RC is unable to do anything other than what he does best - make a rear end of himself.

True only in movies, and BLM speeches today.

Black women are the most educated demographic in the USA. They have it so good, they have decided to bitch about "hairstyle discrimination". . .AND GOT frickING LAWS PASSED over the contrived nonsense.
There is a culture among African-Americans that hampers success. It isn't laziness, intellect, entrepreneurship, or potential.
And it sure as shite ain't about race. Blacks that come from abroad come here with little and perform as well, or better than whites.

Oh he’s free to his opinion? That’s nice.
Is everyone free to have an opinion or are some opinions not ok? That’s kind of the point. Typical Lester.

Loser mentality. You are a failure because you are weak minded, not anything anyone else did.

Wow this is one of the worst takes I’ve seen. You actually think Deion Sanders is more qualified to lead LSU than Brian Kelly? Based on what? Because he’s black? Because he has a camera follow him everywhere he goes documenting himself not his team? Kelly has been a winner everywhere he has coached and has a proven program that wins. Deion is more concerned about building his own brand than anything else and that’s what you would teach those kids in an era where NIL is already doing that and it’s getting out of control. Do you think Deion cares about kids character or that they graduate with a degree? This is just laughable. He won in the HBCU because of his name and he was able to pull a few recruits that otherwise they never would gave like his son or Travis Hunter. Now he has to sign an 85 man roster full of those guys not just 3-4 of them in order to win. I love Colorado and I hope they can be successful but his name alone isn’t going to produce wins. He has to have the whole package. Players, coaches, training staff, nutrition and a defined program outlook if he’s ever going to compete with USC, Oregon and Utah.

And if that young coach were to not be successful.... then it would the staff and other's fault.

Yep just like what Dawn Staley said about Fargas. It was everyone else’s fault but Fargas! This black and white crap will never go away because the black community will never ever stop! Cry me a fricking River
