we ran options all year with a shitty option QB to stretch defenses horizontally but never gave Shep carries on sweeps or wildcat snaps.

Yep

We would rather run the option with a mediocre running QB than RBs, specifically ware and Magee, and shep

Just think if we would have run the option with RS at QB out the eye formation, KH at Fullback and Micheal Ford at Tailback!! Now that would have put pressure on the Bama LB's. Also could have run some pass plays out that formation after faking he option.

because in 2010, he was getting run down from behind before he turned the corner on said sweeps .. he got his chances in 2009 and 2010 .. he wasn't that great ..

RS made a wrong decision coming to LSU. It is hard to believe RS could not be successful in the right scheme given his HS performance. We are not a spread option team and he was not used in situations that utilize his skills.

The guy has great measurable athletic skills. He had an incredibly productive HS career capitalizing on an elusive running style. He has been a positive spokesman for our program and I am disappointed he did not have more success here. I am certainly not convinced it was all his fault.

1. Because if he came back and played next year he would still be a 4th round pick.

2. He probably wouldn't start next year for LSU

3. He is probably tired of they way things have gone for him at LSU.

4. 4th round money is still a whole lot more than a cafeteria card.

it really is as simple as this peej

i mean frick, whatever kind of gameplan we were running was not working and that was painfully obvious. hey, we have this cat that we can do different things with, a guy with big play ability, and a guy who has made plays against bama in the past. maybe we can at least TRY to incorporate him, force bama to worry about it, force them to at least fricking acknowledge that we can do something different

thats right there is why i'm on the les quit bandwagon

Williams had a decent career here .. you and I both know the NFL is littered with guys that had average college careers like KW did ..

this is bullshite. It was one play that he got run down on. Remember his 60+ yard first touchdown came on a sweep his freshman year. He was our best chance of scoring on any given play but he never had the ball in his hands. We were busy letting jj run 20 read options and draw plays a game

decent career in college certainly doesnt live up to a 5 star billing though.

bust is probably too harsh a word for it but its not like he was even a starter really.

we run speed options and zone reads. we do not run spread option like Meyer and kelley and rich rod do.

neither us nor the coaches have any clue what offense we actually ran with jefferson. that half-assed spread/option/zone blah blah blah was just horseshite

bad thing is, when jefferson ran the offense that they called with lee, it wasnt that bad

Why would someone leave to be a 4th round draft pick?

seriously doubt he will be drafted earlier than 6th or 7th round. Maybe a free agent contract even.
