Shep would be the third wr at best next year, OBJ and Landry are better.

what is the point of staying, NFL-wise?
In theory, at least, catching balls from a legit pro-style passer? Better stats = better draft prospects?

One more year with Mett will do wonders for him,

not in this offense

shep is not a vertical WR, and that's basically the only routes we run

and what if it doesnt? he's just wasting development time by staying at LSU

go to the combine, put up good numbers, hope someone takes a shot late. if he's not drafted, he's talented enough to make a practice squad. stick there, get NFL coaching, get better and go from there

if we changed offenses? sure

but in this offense? no way

Regardless Shep has little to ZERO draft stock now, and has a chance to gain some next year. That's my point

This offense was fine while the pro style QB was under the helm, receivers were getting lots of balls.

When the "running QB" came back the WR production took a huge hit.

Slow, any reason why Shep can't be a slot receiver at the NFL level?

I guessing he is, I think his draft stock is he would go in the middle to late 2nd round.

lee threw over 200 ONCE in 2011, bro

we weren't throwing it much at all, even with lee

and most of the routes were vertical routes, which aren't what shep is good at

I see your point but with a talent like Mett, I think we start throwing it more.

don't know if RR's done enough to get to this round, but glad to know it's not confirmed (yet)

LSU only runs vertical routes? Do you watch the games? Or are you "basically" talking out of your arse?

Shep would be lucky to get drafted at this point of his career.

we don't throw in the middle of the field that much

even with lee, we ran a lot of vertical routes to WRs of play action. not too much over the middle

that's why our slot WRs and DLo didn't really do much

I keep thinking back to the west Virginia game.... Playaction to Beckham over the middle for a long td

And playaction at the goalline to a TE for a td

Man life was good
