Sorry guys...Guess I'm guilty of not using my time as wisely as most of you fellas. Maybe I should be more diligent in staring for hours at a time at a computer screen, iPad, or some other device. Maybe then I'd become as savvy as some of you real winners who camp out on the Rant.

Never apologize its a sign of weakness, you'll get a pass here. Don't try it on the sec rant, their not as nice over there.

The Duck coach will seek to make Miles look dumb for mis-using and under-using RS up in Philly

And the Duck coach will have a very short stay in Philly if he uses RS...kid is not a NFL caliber player

I'm guessing you missed the online thread class that was given two weeks ago?

Here's a a much more informative piece on Shepherd, dated yesterday, from the Philly newspaper website:

"Veteran Avant takes rookie Shepard under his wing"

"Avant said he sees Shepard as "a kid who is willing to work hard. He's a great talent. He can do a lot of everything . . . He has a great chance of making this team."

Thanks for that piece. Good read.

quote:

"I had an up-and-down career," he said. "Came in as a highly touted guy. Didn't live up to the hype, but it taught me a lot about myself, and it's taught me a lot about football."

Good to know he isn't bitter. A lot of guys in the position he was in 4 years ago would have been.

Love the kid, but he's not an NFL talent. Not even an SEC talent. Bad hands, goes down at first contact, no juke ability.

Russell Shepard might very well be a fine human being.

But, he was a great high school football player, and a below average college ball player. He will never ever take a snap in a pro football game.

Can he please just go away? His fame from highschool needs to go away just like Al Bundy's did.

can't say i'm surprised. we all knew the talent was there. he just never had the chance to be in the right system to shine

Did you read? Says nothing about his ability as a football player.
