Here is a good comparison of the rushing prowess of the various Heisman Candidates, and your every day Tigerdroppings user.

Jayden Daniels - 1134 yards

Bo Nix 228 yards

Every poster on this site - 0 yards

Michael Penix Jr - -18 yards

I always got the impression from some that it seemed a negative to them that JD5 was such a good rusher.

Some Washington fans have tried to argue that Penix's arm is good enough that he 'doesn't have to tuck and run all the time.'

That sometimes is a valid argument for QBs...however when you look at Jayden's deep passing stats the argument just looks silly.

Yeah, normally QBs with a lot of rushing yards are either run first, or they are running for their lives.

Daniels put up great QB passing numbers and still has more rushing yards than Washington’s leading rusher and Oregon’s leading rusher.

I scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game.

Don't know, but I had a stellar game in the Youth Football Kumquat Bowl (real thing) against Boothville-Venice. Also had an INT on defense.

Its extremely rare to see a QB THIS good at both aspects. I can't really think of another example. Vince Young and Tim Tebow were nowhere near as good as passers. they werent even REALLLY close with rushing either. Manziel is really the only good one I can come up with. and Jayden was still a substantially better passer and rusher on a yards/attempt basis. 13.6 yards/Passing attempt for JD. 8.8 for JM in his Heisman year. 8.4 to 7.0 in rushing yards / attempt. It REALLY hasn't been done before. and we really don't appreciate the true scale of it just because we JUST had Burrow do almost the same thing. it's wild to think about.

Manziel had more Rushing yards than JD does in 2012. 1410 to 1134. but that's on 201 attempts to 135. And take into account JD had 106 more yards passing (total) in 107 less attempts. 107 LESS ATTEMPTS!
I mean the difference in efficiency is retarded.
Manziel scored 47 TDs on 635 plays.
JD (so far) scored 50 on 462 plays.

there's REALLY never been another QB to come close.
