Ok, different team, but same offensive scheme, same ugly, squeak out a win! Same Miles offense. Different QB, but basically same style of play. LSU will end the season 8-4 again with that same crap offensive style.

If the passing game develops, I don't see 8-4. WAY too much talent out there. LSU was overwhelmingly more talented than MSU last night.

Delusion is a sucky way to live. Miles let this team back in the game and almost cost this great group of kids a victory.
Deal with his conservatism and lack of courage.

When you are able to rush as LSU did, the play action pass should be there all day. LSU won the game, but it was not in their control at the end. 5 additional play action passes would have put this game away. Oh, and I nearly chocked when LSU did use the play action on like 3rd and forever. It's the one occasion where you don't play action pass.

Like maybe Oregon...what has their "high flying" offensive philosophy won for them
exactly. it was said last night that oregon is 1-25 in their last 26 true road games against top 5 opponents. compare that with lsu.

I don't disagree, but it's insane the tone that's in here this morning. It was the first game! It wasn't bad coaching to rely on the running game against a divisional opponent on the road in Harris' second start. The most important thing was to get out of there with a win.

It doesn't matter who the opponent is. It's going to be the same thing unless we are trailing by 21.

this is what bothers me. i don't want harris to get the jordan jefferson treatment. jefferson deserved it because he wasn't a good passer. we had to focus on the run game with him back there. harris is definitely a capable passer. there's no reason to not have a balanced offense with the personnel we have.

We out gained them by over 200 yds rushing and if their kicker makes a FG, we lose.

Miles' philosophy DOES NOT WORK.

Last night proved it. We won because State did not win. That is why.

This board is ridiculous.

They were drained out last night b/c the offense (just like last year) could not make sustainable drives. They were wore out!

Ban bet. LSU goes 8-4 or worse I'm gone. 9-3 or better, you're gone. Until next season of course.

I call this taking one for the team.

Only if the other guy is playing grind it out football. Against a team that can move the football quickly, it does not work.

Absolutely. It was up to a kicker.

Nothing new. There are people who defend Les regardless of what happens, people who hate Les regardless of what happens, then the majority of us who are somewhere in between. However, the extremist make the most noise.

What about the passing yards total? Does that equate to playoffs too? Get a clue. Lsu will not make the playoffs if they aren't willing to attempt a downfield pass

It's not about the passing yards this early as it is about the ability to complete the pass. The players (QBs, o-line, RBs, WRs) are there, only the offensive play-calling can screw this up now.

We should have been firmly ahead keeping the pressure on, but we took the foot off the pedal and shelled up, again. It is my hope that the passing will increase as the season progress to 20-25 attempts without having to do so.

They lose every big game they play and have nothing at all to show for all their years of fancy play calling.

Well a lot of it has to do with their undersized defenses and their lack of ability to stop anyone....its really not an offensive problem with them in case you haven't noticed.

It's about the ability to attempt a pass when the opponent is closing the gap and your defense is gassed. Everyone, even the announcers were noting that MSU was stacked vs the run.

Unless you're running the wishbone, this should never occur. It will take a loss for the staff to loosen up the reigns.

So if not for a couple of penalties Harris has 150-200 yards passing and nobody is bitching?
