I posted this same breakdown a week ago after the UCLA game, and after the South Alabama game, the numbers are now so silly that I figured I'd post it again. Of course, the numbers are incredibly skewed by Caden's first 2 plays from scrimmage, but considering we've been waiting for some offensive explosiveness, I'll allow it.
Josh Williams - 6 touches (5 carries, 1 catch) for 55 yards, 1 TD
Caden Durham - 10 touches (7 carries, 3 catches) for 217 yards, 2 TDs
Kaleb Jackson - 7 carries for 19 yards
Ju'Juan Johnson - 5 touches (3 carries, 2 catches) for 18 yards
TOTAL - 28 touches (22 carries, 6 catches) for 309 yards, 3 TDs
Previous games:
USC: 28 Touches (24 carries, 4 catches) for 134 yards, 0 TDs
Nicholls: 20 Touches (17 carries, 3 catches) for 67 yards, 1 TD
South Carolina: 31 Touches (28 carries, 3 catches) for 161 yards, 3 TDs
UCLA: 30 touches (25 carries, 5 catches) for 165 yards, 2 TDs
On the season - 137 touches (116 carries, 21 catches) for 836 yards, 9 TDs
Caden Durham - 35 touches (29 carries, 6 catches) for 374 yards, 5 TDs
Josh Williams - 45 touches (41 carries, 4 catches) for 207 yards, 3 TDs
Kaleb Jackson - 38 touches (34 carries, 4 catches) for 150 yards
Josh Williams - 6 touches (5 carries, 1 catch) for 55 yards, 1 TD
Caden Durham - 10 touches (7 carries, 3 catches) for 217 yards, 2 TDs

Nicholls was the lowest production of the running backs thus far.
Weird.
Weird.

Thought it was clear that it was a lack of motivation for our guys in that game. We did not bring our A game. Still won by 20+

Nice to see Johnson get some more touches, assuming it was late in the game.
Glad to see Durham got the start too. He’s obviously earned it

Glad to see the running game picking up. It was evident the early teams were loading the box and putting everything on Nuss. Our staff cost us the USC game trying to achieve the balance IMO, as Nuss was doing his thing. But, understand why it’s so important to get that running game going, as we saw this weekend…

Also crazy to think Durham did not see the field against USC.

Johnson will need more reps on the bye week to get accustomed to the holes and line blocking his burst will come he is just a pure athlete everyone was talking about the A&M kid Terry Bussey but we get a diamond in the rough .

In talking with Nicholls player(s) on D, they wanted to play like "men possessed" -- they had a lot to prove.....to themselves, their families and to LSU fans. Sort of like: "this is probably our ONLY shot ever to play LSU, or play in Tiger Stadium, so let's go all out!"
Besides, they also had a booster make a commitment before the game, that for every point they scored, he was donating $10,000!
$210,000 plus what LSU paid them -- that's a nice night

Take put the 2 long touches by durham and those numbers are pathetic against that level of competition .

This is always and forever such a dumb argument.
"Well if the really good plays don't happen it looks bad!"

What a dumb fricking argument. Like our offense wouldn’t have found another way to rack up 150 yards

Just brutal

The team for whatever reason was checked out for that game until the 4rh quarter. Doubt we see it happen again this season.

35-3 at half isn't pathetic especially when their last 2 opponents were outscored 135-24

Okay, I'll play. Without his 2 best plays, Caden Durham had 8 touches for 60 yards (7.5 yards per play) and a touchdown.
The only pathetic one here is you. fricking loser

I think that's good.
7.5 yards per touch.
Pretty good. I'll take more of that.

There is literally zero reason outside of injury or fatigue that Durham is not the primary ball carrier.

8 and 9 man box every single drive will do that

It's Caden Durham's job to lose!
