For some who may be fuzzy on what an RPO scheme entails, I thought this would be great to share. It's a 9 minute video.

YouTube - The Art of the RPO with Doug Pederson

The concepts are pretty simple and can be very hard to stop if your QB is a good decision maker.

Not sure what it has to do with the Tigers, but great video! Cool to see the brains behind the plays. Makes me horny for football!

LSU will be running some RPO this year. Being implemented by Joe Brady - bringing it over from his time with Penn State and the Saints.

For you youngsters, Doug Pederson played QB at NLU(ULM) from 1987-1990.

Great find on the vid. Simple explanation for the uninitiated. And, for those worried about running the QB to much, Pederson said it at the very beginning, “We don’t want our quarterback to run.” As you said, RPO is a pretty simple concept, as long as you have a good decision maker at QB. LSU should have that this year.

1. The revamped offense may (will-?) use similar concepts, so it's pretty relevant, IMO
2. Nick Foles ran that same offense at a very high level at times the past two seasons, and I think that Burrow's QB style is similar enough to warrant a look at how Foles ran Pederson's version of the RPO.

Good news for the future: Myles Brennan reminds me a lot more of Foles than Burrow.

And remember, College Ol can block farther down field than NFL.

So you can get more verticals passes in College.

Really cool to see a breakdown of the pre-snap reads
