…But don’t play them until the SEC lawsuit is resolved is the smartest route to take at this point. Follows the court order and protects LSU from SEC and CFP penalties.

I think the court order prohibits us from NOT rostering them due to a reason connected with this controversy, so I don't think we have much of a choice.

Nothing the SEC can do while the injunction is in place.

I think you're wrong. LSU doesn't have to roster them, but that attorney for the players said LSU can't roster them then later remove them, or else they'd be in contempt of court. He's not the judge, though.

Yes, simply don't play them until things become more clear.

The pending lawsuit the SEC just filed does not have the players as the defendants. Its focus is the university and coach.
That's very different, and intentional. They have changed the subject here to our behavior. Not player eligibility. We need to be intentional about how we address that and how we are perceived by the court.

The preliminary injunction is as clear as it gets. The players in question can, and will, play until another court order says otherwise. The SEC cannot levy retroactive punishment.

Don’t roster them, make the kids sue us, sue the SEC to indemnify us and change the rules

How would that protect LSU from CFP penalties? They can invite who they want. Blowing a potential spot in the playoffs just isn't worth it. They can make up any reason to not invite someone.
