no I can admit I might be wrong. The food "pass" has something to do with it as well, just might be separated. Players can choose to not use the school's food system from my understanding

The types of "board" plans that are available to scholarship student-athletes are as follows:
Athletic dining plan includes (lunch only, dinner only, lunch and dinner only and breakfast,
lunch and dinner). The training table meal has been designated as dinner and is served at
Pentagon Cafeteria.
University meal plan;
Fraternity/sorority meal plan; or
Monthly cash-in-lieu-of-board allowance.
It is a separate thing.

You do know that LSU has a compliance department that is hired to oversee all this kind of stuff? It doesn't sound like he was living in a mansion. LSU is going to err on the safe end of things right now. Shep is one of the most respected players at LSU in a long time. I doubt that he would let himself get caught up in something bad.
