Hope coach finally realized that Romero needs to play every game
DH , catcher, first base, anywhere he can contribute
Need his bat
Also I have to give a shout out to Parker Bugg, he was impressive, and yes I doubted he should ever be put on the mound.
Sunday the team looked like they finally got it together!!!

That's sad. Watch baseball for a number of years and you'll realize that there are slumps every player goes through, not just batters. You don't give up on a kid over a 20 game stretch when he's performed and been in the program for 3 years.

he just needs to get that off speed to locate and get that first pitch strike down

his fastball is straight as an arrow and when he gets behind, it can be tough

really happy he did well, we certainly need him

If Romero can get rid of the double pump tick he seems to show every once in awhile he'd be a damn good catcher. But I agree, we NEED his bat in the lineup

You also don't let them try to work out of a slump in the situation he was put in, in a conference game where we needed to win.

Romero quoted as saying he hits better when he plays a position because it forces him to focus more. Get his @ss in the game Paul!!!!!!!

Yeah, but that's on the coach, not the kid. Bugg has been good in the past for us. No reason to just quit using him for the year.

2 good outings in a row. Good sign. I wasn't a fan of putting him in that situation yet, but I'm glad he did well and understand we had limited options at the time.

The one yesterday was on the throw to him the plate, and I think it was because he had to wait for someone to get over to cover first base. In that situation, better to double pump than to throw a ball into right field that allows two Auburn runs to score.

I want to believe in this team but it's still going to be awfully tough, the next two weekends with Vandy and Miss St coming in are very tough with Fla at the end, only good thing is they are all at home and provide nice RPI boosting wins.

Well he started the final 2 games of the series so I think that's a good indication he'll be in the lineup for the foreseeable future.

I think PM saw enough when Pap couldn't block anything Lange was throwing but I don't know if Yadier Molina could have blocked some of those pitches, Pap is definitely not hitting enough to keep himself in the lineup, ride with Romero at C and ride the hot hand at DH.
