Nothing will happen with Luis until at least the SEC Federal lawsuit against LSU is dismissed.

Play him.
They are going to call us sleazy anyways.

If anything, that quote is talking about everyone BUT Luis.
RJ Luis made the decision to forego his remaining eligiblity at St. John's to turn pro, and he's been out of college basketball for over a year now. He's not anything like the rest of the cases.
Doubt he plays at any point this season.

Yep. frick all of em. play him anyway
Posted on 10/9/26 at 3:25 pm to Hitman1381
I don’t see any reasonable argument anyone can make as to why he should be eligible.

We are not going to put anything with football at risk over RJ Luis (such as penalties from SEC). So if the SEC says he can't play, he won't play.
LSU can still stand on the high ground of we aren't playing anyone ineligible in football or basketball

no this is him being very careful to not include luis

Personally I believe that this is the reason that Sankey and the SEC haven't dropped the lawsuit against LSU. They believe that LSU has 2 coaches that are going to bend the rules and they're just waiting it out. I'm not a lawyer and I don't know if this is even possible but I believe that they'll amend the alleged parties to suit them if needed.

The football players have a case , RJ Louis no case .

I've been pretty firm on my opinion from the beginning with him that he should not be eligible. His situation is too similar to Bediako for me to think he should be eligible.

All these people saying play him anyways , want to see LSU given the school death penalty ,ala SMU.
Posted on 10/9/26 at 3:58 pm to iamandykeim
Right , they still had eligibility left and forgo it for the pro's.
Posted on 10/9/26 at 4:00 pm to JimTiger72
He’s talking about everyone except for RJ in that statement.

i don't think he should be eligible.
only argument is, why can a foreign player be a pro and play in college after? and not an american!
