I think Ridley is similar to Joe Addai. Joe Addai wouldn't have the career he has had without a QB like Manning. Ridley can be a successful pro with the right team. Personally, I think it's tough to judge his draft stock simply b/c running backs are a dime a dozen these days. The NFL is a passing league. If I'm a GM, I don't draft ANY Running Backs in the first 3 rounds...JMO

Name the Top 4 RBs: Peterson, MJD, Chris Johnson, Foster...none in the playoffs

a good bit slower than Addai. Not sure he's quite the pass catching threat either.

we will see on Friday how much motivation he has and how much he wants to come back. I believe he will leave b/c of the other backs that are ready to move him over...

Actually, the top back in the league (in YPC) this year is in the playoffs.

and Ridley doesn't have close to the speed that Addai has.

He is a big strong running back that can break tackles and is slightly shifty while being a strong north south runner. He would be great complementing a pass first offense, and i think he could be a 3rd round pick for sure.

I think he is comparable to michael turner. Big strong runners.

Ridley is a ton slower then Addai. Addai was fast.

The problem with Ridley is that some team could see him as a fullback, which he is not. It doesnt help that Ridley is not a great pass blocker. I'm pretty confident that assuming he stays healthy and doesnt run a horrible 40, he could easily go in the 3rd-5th round. Ridley is a bruiser with more athleticism than you usually see out of that style of runner

he's not a 3rd round pick

more like a 5th-UFA IMO

he should go now, his stock won't be much higher than it is

He makes outstanding cuts. Our overall offense hampered him more than his speed.

where do you project him? I'll definitely bump this after the draft this year even if I look like an idiot

Late rounds. Backs like Ridley are a dime a dozen in the NFL. He needs more development.

I'm not that guy. I don't even watch pro-ball much anymore. I just took issue with the description you initially gave. He's more than a push the pile guy. I have no idea where he will end up. The only prediction I could make is, he'll be better in the league than most here and elswhere think at this stage.

this.

Ridley doesn't do anything "special" as a back, they're alot of backs that have his same running style and combination. RB's like that don't get taken before the 5th round and if he's not playing at a top tier school like LSU he goes undrafted.
