"If we get a good shot on (Tebow), we're going to try our best to take him out of the game," Jean-Francois said.

What do you think he meant by this:

A. I'd like to decrease his efficiency as a player
B. I'd like to knock him on his arse
C. I'd like to send him to the hospital

Seems to me C is the clear answer. And it's wrong, plain and simple. I don't know what these guys say to each other in the trenches—for all I know it's something like "I'm gonna snap your spine mofo." But that's between the players, and if it's accepted among them so be it. But to make statements like this in public is just wrong.

Did RJF really say this? Where did he say this? is there an actual link and not just a link to a Florida Homer Column?

The link is in the first post. What more do you want? And yes, he actually said this. It's now on ESPN, Mike and Mike, etc.

no where does it say injure him, it says take him out of game , that could be mentaly or physicaly, but in the end who shoulodve just kept his mouth shut!!!

but if this in anyway makes Florida play "harder" then we got them beat already.... if a 1 loss team looking to get back in title talk contention playing the undefeated defending champs isnt sky high already then they are in trouble.......

and yes if a fla player had said this about Lee this board would be melting down......

You need to work on your interpretation skills

I don't believe that his comments will make Florida play any harder. I just simply think it lacked class.

Do they have video? ESPN would never go off of rumors or hearsay would they? oh wait.

The link is some Gator forum. I can write some quotes from Tebow. You want some? I got some.

I mean one of the guys questions "When asked how Tebow might deal with the pain of an LSU hit". The guy was looking for locker room quotes from RJF if he didn't just make them up or twist them with Blue and Orange colors.

You're right. He didn't say any of those things. It's all made up.

RJF just provided extra motivation for an Olineman to attack his knees.

Trash talking is one thing. Publicly stating you want to take a player out of the game is just stupid and classless.

Good job, dumbass.

Now had one of Florida's defensive lineman said anything like that, you and the rest of the board would be screaming about what low class cheap shot artists they are and Urban should be fined for coaching that type of play.
You just don't make comments about taking out another player.
No, actually I wouldn't. It's football not ice skating.

Maybe it is made up. The only thing I have seen is a blog from some guy who says he talked to RJF and asked him loaded questions.

Florida is trying to get their OL fired up since that is their biggest area of concern.

The fact that it is being talked about all over the place is now another reason why it should not have been said.

So you want LSU to act like Miami when they talked chit?

We've won with class thus far. No need to change that.

Thank you. Why can't people realize this. Too many people on here are missing the point, trying to say it's football, it's a tough sport, they trash talk on the field, etc. I'm talking about class here. Respect. You knock the hell out of a guy on the field, great. I'll cheer my arse off. You say that you want to "take someone out", "put him in the hospital", no. I'll say it was a classless comment.

Ricky Jean Francois is a thug, nothing more, nothing less. And since he's from Haiti, has anyone even checked to see if he's in this country legally? I am ashamed that he is a member of our football team. And I'm mad at Miles for the hypocrisy of the whole thing: he'll dismiss Ryan Perriloux from the team for skipping some classes, but this Francois guy can mouth off about hurting another human being, viciously no less, and be allowed to be a starter? At this clip, what with the thug image, we'll be known as the new Miami in no time!

Note to Ricky: If the Orlando Sentinel calls, tell them you're busy. In fact, note to all LSU players. If the opposing team's in state newspaper calls, why not just tell them to have a nice day.
