you describe it well there ... hawthorne is prolly pissed at ford for correcting him on the air ... there is no reason for ford to do that other than to try to make hawthorne look bad on air ... if jim says someone has 4 fouls when they actually have 3 .. ford needs to jot it down on a piece of paper and slide it over to jim so that he can comfortably make the correction on the air ... also, ford talks over hawthorne like he's billy packer or something ... it is just a horrible dynamic and painful to listen to ...
ford's OK in the studio when he isn't pronouncing "LSU" eweshooooo ..

you mean the part where it said blanton wasn't implicated by the NCAA ?
from what i understand, it was going on two years before blanton was ever hired .. originally concocted by the football coaches .. the basketball players in question started doing the shite after talking with the football players that were doing it ... it went on unbeknownst to blanton ... he resigned for legitimate family reasons ...

I already mentioned listening to Rudy Macklin - that dude is good.
Probably just wanted to make sure he didn't miss any LSU basketball games now that Trent's here. :)

Kevin Ford is way annoying. He doesn't have a radio voice at all. He sounds like an excitable little geeky kid who is not real confident in himself. He should have been let go a long time ago. Very annoying and not very insightful.

I agree, i liked Blanton. Ford sounds like a whiney bitch 99% of the time. If you can stomach his terrible commentary, his annoying bitch voice would do you in
