We recruit the frick out of Houston too. That is a big reason we are willing to do this.

There will be hundreds of Houston area high school kids and coaches there.

This is one of the lost arts of scheduling.

This works out great for LSU- go "on tour" to an area you recruit, the locals can most likely get to see an LSU easy win for less than it might cost to go to, say, an A&M or Texas home game.
We should do a similar deal with Ga Tech, just to go whip arse in person in Georgia. Or, hell, do a deal with U of Cincinnati while the Burrow love's still fresh- that would piss Ohio State off big-time.

Honestly surprised A&M hasn't made a deal with Tulane. You'd think they'd LOVE to be in Nola.

Also think of the size of the Houston LSU alumni base...Rice may end up making money off of this game, I've been to a couple of games there back in the day...

friend of mine actually took a train from campus to Houston for the game and back when he was a freshman around 1964
