Much like the other responses, I'm gonna say he's our best cover guy.

But if I'm gonna be critical, even at the risk of it being hyper-critical, there's no way I'm lining up with less than 2 minutes up by 12 in press, regardless of what I'm being told by the bench, and especially after already being beat like he had.

I mean, 5 yards off would be pressing, in that game situation. Just some common sense. FR or no FR, a man has got to know his limitations.

Which is a surprise considering stingley runs a 4.30 I never thought any of the bama wideouts could burn him on go routes

And we all know Stingley played his worst game of the year.

There was really only one bad play which was the one on one where he just lost the ball and Smith went up and grabbed it. I've never seen Stingley not know exactly where the ball was like that before.

He was burned on a gimmick play where the offense looked the the sideline then quick snapped. Defense was looking to our sideline too, then Tua claps and turns his head at the same time, snap is there, Stingley isn't ready. It was film study and they made a trick play of it. Not really Stingley's fault.

The 85 yarder at the end was on the play call too. Stingley is in press and Delpit, the only safety, is in the middle. Not sure if he was supposed to jam him at the line, but he kinda lets him go by as if he thinks he has help. We clearly though they were running a slant or something across the middle though and got burned. Press on the outsides, 5+ yard cushion on the slot, 4 man rush, and 2 linebackers covering the 5-10 yard throw in the middle with one high safety. That's pretty much begging for exactly what happened.

Nothing wrong with the post IMO, but your title comes off a bit critical and dramatic. I think that’s what’s getting you the majority of the pushback.

Don’t really disagree with anything you said, but we like to be nice to our 5 star stud freshmen who manage to exceed our own outrageous expectations

Your eyes know more than the coaches?

Maybe you should be the DC

That was a bad call by Aranda. And Stingley got beat bad.

But the OP is still a jackass for thinking he knows more than real coaches.

OP made a good observation. These are the reason Saban was going after Stingley while he’s still a freshman.

You’re probably that little skinny kid from Episcopal that Sting lit up last year.

Good luck with the coaching career. . .

Biggest takeaway from this post: your not allowed to name a flaw in stingleys game or else your picking on a freshmen but ppl were doing nothing but shite on Fulton earlier when he was struggling agains Texas

its the players or the scheme but our DB's have been getting toasted all year.
Thank heaven for an all world offense.

Mostly Vincent tbh. Fulton only rough game was Texas, stingley has been great outside of some points against Florida and the bama game
