You do realize that Bama never led in that game, right? You do realize that every time Bama got close, LSU responded, right? Bama wasn't going to win that game, no matter how long they played.

Lol had that game not had three fluke TD’s by Gump and it’s a blowout just like the last time you pussies were on the big stage.
Tell me how many times you had the ball without a two score deficit in the second half.

Bama had 60 minutes. If they couldn't do the job then, they didn't deserve any more time. Even your scoreboard operator thought so.

We held the Bama offense to 1 TD in the first half. That's unheard of.

Then you get the stupid diversion of attention of Stingley costing us 6. Then the head scratching defense with under 2 minutes to go with a 12 point lead.

So what area we talking about, 21 points total outside the two avoidable TDs?

It wasn't a bad effort at Tuscaloosa with Tua.

Aranda was a good DC, not elite like we were paying him

The last 4 games LSU was dominant, championship quality, AND improving. You ever think getting healthy and maybe some motivation from fricktards like you and the tv “experts” played a role.

You think their d was going to step up after the OL and CEH carried their entire defense 12 yards for a first down?

THIS. LSU could have scored again on that final drive, but I guess that "we ran out of time" and decide to knee. Pretty much sums up the dumb arse original post.

Complaining about the defense? Alabama was stacked with playmakers on both sides of the ball. They are going to step up and make plays, we can only help to contain them and the defense did just that.

Good luck to Coach Aranda at Baylor, but Bo Pelini will be an upgrade for this defense. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn’t been paying attention.

You are correct and I think the 4 DL and Pellini will be much more aggressive getting pressure on the QB.

Now, for the poster asking you to be quiet.. this is a message board and I can see the point you were trying to make in the second half of that Bama game. Our boys were gassed but that was the wrong defense called on that D. Smith bomb.

But I see his point in we shut down 3 great teams down the stretch with Aranda's Defense, so he is also correct as we beat down Georgia, Oklahoma and Clemson

So, you guys chill and enjoy the 15-0 greatest season ever and try to stop picking fly shite out of pepper

He was elite. We replaced Devin White’s arguably greatest MLB in LSU history with P.Queen and J.Phillips, which didn’t cost us a game and those guys were top producers all year. Aranda’s defense got better as the year went on which doesn’t happen if you aren’t elite.

If you recapped Pelini’s 2007 season, we couldn’t adjust to stop Jacob Tamme, we lost to Arkansas giving up +50pts the last game of the year with everything on the line, and a weak Kentucky team beat our absolutely loaded defense. Not crapping on Pelini totally for ‘07 losses but no excuse to lose to Kentucky or Arkansas with that LSU team.

Aranda fixed the problems of earlier in the year when we couldn’t get key stops against Texas and Alabama. By year end, we dominated A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson with our defense.

Bump and run coverage on that last Bama TD was just stupid. I really don't know why that call was made. OP has a point.

It was bump and run with two safeties deep. The corner has to at least get a jamb on the receiver. Stingley failed to do something that is very basic and easy. All season long Stingley has exhibited poor technique by turning his hips too soon. It’s what young, fast, athletic corners do because they are used to relying on their speed. It’s very similar to fast running backs always wanting to bounce it outside.

It was a great defensive call in that situation. Just horribly executed by Stingley. Had he gotten the bump he would have had safety help over the top. Had they done what the Monday morning quarterbacks are calling for, Bama would have scored in four or five plays by hitting those slants.

You’re right you know. With an expected small but significant drop in the offense and a medium significant increase in the defense - wo knows what next year could bring

I love this gif

The only thing I wish was that Clyde had a TD in the Ship.

His performance against Alabama was historical. Biblical. Unbelievable.

Joe is Frodo and Clyde is Sam. Joe actually does the task and gets the glory. But without Sam... there’s no way it happens at all.

Yes Joes story was a great underdog story. But Clydes was even more so.

That LSUfootball Instagram video of Clyde walking down the tunnel before the Nat was chilling.
