We were once the jewel of college football. And best of all, every single fan of LSU could contribute to the lore and glory of Death Valley with his/her passion and proud voice. We mere fans couldn't recruit, we couldn't execute on the field, we couldn't hire coaches, or will the team to championships, but by God, we could convert our love into noise and transform an old bowl of stained concrete into something shimmering and grand. It was our legacy. The fans' legacy.

Oh Jesus. Stay away from ponzi schemes. You sound like a sucker who believes in fairy tales.

Is 13 points in the 4th with the opponent driving on the LSU 25 "close"? B/c that's exactly what MSU had last year, and the stadium was cleared out. Night game, not a cloud in the sky. But we had lost to Bama the week before, so the season was over, right?

We aren't saying it has. But to still claim we're the best fan base? Please.

"No coach in America is going to throw the ball in the rain when the game is in hand and he can use a superior run game to eat clock. He damn sure isn't going to do it to please your fickle arse."

Sure, it was so superior, Auburn was close to scoring again and kicking an on-sides to tie the game?

And if we'd thrown an incomplete pass and given them more time on the clock, people would be bitching about that today. Miles did the right thing.

piece of shite reveille

newsflash: LSU is a UNIVERSITY first and foremost where students go to learn and earn degrees, not a football factory.

Nope. I was there, and I was there during the shitty 90s too. Times change. I've grown up now, and I like where the program is now compared to back then.

What does this have to do with the reveille constantly bashing the university that is giving them those exact degrees you are referencing?

Now that is largely gone. The old Tiger Stadium only emerges under ideal conditions: a game with national championship implications against a top ten foe at night with impeccable weather. Outside of those optimal circumstances, Tiger Stadium has become another run of the mill mixer for curious sports tourists and cocktail party dilettantes
This is what happens when traditional fans are replaced by corporate fans [the rants terminology]

quote:

Hell, we couldn't fill the stadium for three quarters when a top-ten ranked Tiger squad was facing an undefeated Wester Division rival.

let's not over do it. We all knew that Auburn's record didn't reflect an actual threat.

We have become a spoiled bunch.

I made a thread yr or so ago how kinda sucks how LSU football has come down to a one game season.... LSU vs Alabama.

That's all anyone cares about.
It's true and everybody knows it regardless If you'll admit it.

Nobody cares about the magnila bowl or the boot or some shite bowl game vs Clemson if we not going to Atlanta for seccg.
It's what it has become and it sucks.
That's why I'm chose to get my fix in Dallas and this week in Athens and in Oxford in couple weeks.
IF Alabama beats us, unfortunately the thrill is gone for most LSU fans.

I missed the part where I am the one still throwing a hissy fit because our team embarrassed a western division foe. I was at every home game last year, including Bama and Scar, and Death Valley is still very real. People can choose to disagree if they want, but I personally am stoked that fans not staying during a blowout is the biggest issue facing our team right now.
