I can only hope that one day LSU will get another like the Tyrant, but I also know that he was a true one of a kind player.

Can't remember a player who was good for a TD swing in every game he played. I believe if he were playing in 12 we would have won the national title. Both losses that year were close games. He thrived in those situations and would have made the difference.

If he continues to listen and be under the tutelage of PP7 he will be fine.

Once in a lifetime playmaker. Selfishly I'm disappointed he missed his final year but dude was a true bad arse.

there will never be another player like him. He was unique, there never was a player like him either. He compared to no one, his instincts were off the charts

i always thought he was a good kid, which is amazing because he had so many bad breaks in his life, things that were completely out of his control, the kind of beginning that is rarely very far from the end.

and yet he somehow came out ok, and I've never seen a player who loved being a Tiger as much as he did. i remember him tweeting stuff like "I got you" to Miles before big games.

but then he had his problems, and Miles had little choice than to do what he did (which Ive heard was absolutely excruciating for Miles). I was more than a little worried for him.

and then Arizona picked him, and i was so fricking happy. not to be dramatic but i almost feel like it saved his life. there are obviously lots of other teams he could have gone too with other LSU guys, but to be with Peterson, who isn't just a good guy, not just a loyal guy, and not just another DB who would be around Badger all the time, but the best corner on earth, for a kid obsessed with football. there was no better fit.

he would not be the player he is if he'd gone to almost any other team. like, i still think JaMarcus could have been a very good pro if he hadnt gone to the raiders when they were at their raider-iest. Peterson gave Badger the structure and the family he needed, it was a good break for a kid who hadn't had very many of those in his life.

Completely agree.

The guy plays with instincts that can't be taught. He is constantly around that ball.

It was almost like there were two of them out there, 2 seconds ago he was downfield and now he's at the other end of the field, stripping out that ball. And the entire team fed off of his playmaking, like a spark plug.

I'm glad he came here.

There are DB's in the nfl that have played 5 or 6 years that don't have a highlight reel half as good as that. One special cat.

The crazy part is the Cards are undefeated so far without him! imagine how good its gotta make if feel if you are one of the other defensive players and know you have him going to war with you!

Watching him play, I think it was easy to become spoiled by his tackling ability. Every time you see 7/32 come up to make a tackle, you know the ball carrier is going down with very little yards gained after initial contact. The dude RARELY lets someone get by him.

To go along with that tackling ability, he still knows when and how to force a turnover. That's simply amazing.

Ref: The Saints trying to strip the ball on EVERY play Sunday night, but missing tackles all over the place.

We always see players come and go in the program, it's part of it. Some we miss when they leave, seems they take a little something with them. Some we are excited to see them progress to the next level and further their career.
Tyrann was different for me. There was never a player that I had been more excited to see step on the field every game. He played with such tenacity and had a chip on his shoulder. I've never seen a playmaker like him.
When he was dismissed from the team, my heart sank. The next season was nowhere near as enjoyable for me without #7 on the field. He should have been there.
I, like many of us, followed his progression through treatment and all of that. I held out a little bit of hope, for his sake, that he could pull through this. Tyrann is a player, he's a competitor, he belongs on the field.
The trouble was likely a blessing in disguise for him. Had it not happened, who knows how things would have wound up. It did happen, he fought through, he proved people wrong, he came back, and made himself a better person by doing so.
I'm very proud that he is/was a Tiger and I'll be a lifelong fan of his.

This thread Delivers.

Several people here have expressed in words, what I rarely am able to do.

Good luck and God's Speed to Tyrann, in everything he does. Will always be a fan.

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

Oh, is this the bi-annual suck-off-Tyrann thread? Glad I didn't miss it..

JK, congrats to him. But it does seem like whenever his name is mentioned, everybody pours compliments out in remembrance as if he was dead.
