All the good schools cheat. Be smart enough to where you cannot be directly implicated. Pretty simple. Will Wade is taking zero heat on this and its laughable

What do smarts have to do with it? Every coach that's cheating is talking on the phone or having vulnerable communication at some point about these types of things. He was unlucky.

If the guys in the AD don't have the stomach to handle a little bit of heat then they shouldn't be working there. Every big program is going to get pinched eventually. Ours freaks out when that happens.

Lets not put the cart before the horse. Right now Wade is still in play. Honestly Greg H might be worth a look if it comes to that, and I think he would accept.

We all said this when Miles was fired.

Would the same guy who promoted Orgeron be handling the hiring of Wade’s supposed replacement?

If so, the replacement will be Benford.

The further you remove yourself as a head coach from people like Christian Dawkins, whether it be with boosters or assistant coaches, the much more likely you are to not get implicated in this stuff.

Looks like the most important trait of a successful NCAA coach has is giving the players (or the influencers in their lives) what they want.

I suspect old timers like Coach K only have to mention at an alumni meeting who he is recruiting and the alumni quietly take over some way. Bet you will NEVER hear that K has talked to some broker like Wade purportedly did.

I don’t see how Alleva can keep him if he was actually considering dealing with the broker.

I hope Wade has a good, verifiable retort and is proven clean when this is over.

It will be a whole new administration when this is all said and done. The good thing is Wade has awakened the sleeping giant and shown what LSU is capable of. A nice tournament run would help a lot .

Would a quality coach want to come here now? Probably not but it doesn't matter anyway. We all know what's going to happen. The next head coach for LSU men's basketball is coaching them right now.

The Pomansky wire tapes of offers to LE for good spin are going to really break this thing open

Well that's an institutional problem, exacerbated by the AD and compliance.

People wonder why Bama never gets jammed up. It's because everyone in that damn state (especially on that campus) is on the same page. That's clearly not the case at LSU.

up until now, hasn't really been a problem with this administration despite landing top recruits across all 3 big sports.

this is a 35 year old Will Wade problem. The excuses you keep making for him because you hate joe Alleva are laughable. Separate the 2 and be a rational adult about this

Man, I love how you ignore the fact that all of this is based off a media report of supposed transcripts that are out if context and the report admits there's no evidence of what the supposed offer was, but yeah keep up your fight for the guy who's payroll you're clearly on

Maybe things are out of context, maybe they aren't.

LSU is trying to figure that out, and they have the right.

It would be a safe bet that Wade's replacement is coaching the team right now. Easy and cheap.

We don't even know if the transcripts are legit or not... Pete Thamel would never write a hit piece about LSU right? Oh wait...

I'm surprised that group of jackoffs can dress themselves in the morning.

The amount of confidence you have in them to conduct a legitimate investigation is astounding.
