I agree. Everyone around me seems to enjoy when they play "Callin' Baton Rouge" and "Louisiana Saturday Night."

Everyone saying "Callin' Baton Rouge" is hick...have you ever listened to the words of "Louisiana Saturday Night"? It's ten times more "hick" than Callin' Baton Rouge.

this was started less than 5 years ago.
it's a shitty tradition.
it's irrelevant.

how about playing music that has to do with LSU. With college spirit. how about just playing the goddamn fight song?

not a song about a fricking fais do do and garth brooks, mega millionaire. we are not texas. most of the people in this town do not listen to country.

we do not wear belt buckles and cowboy boots, or rope cattle. why would we play songs that make us seem like we do?

how about you bumpkin arse lsu fans take more pride in the real heritage of this city instead of borrowing texas and nashville's.

i'd have no problem hearing a song with an accordion. or hearing chinese bandits.

these songs are pop songs, shitty ones at that, that someone with horrible taste in music decided to play on the loudspeakers. and drunken idiot and idioettes decided that it made sense and started singing along.

terrible terrible songs. and they represent the city and the university in the dumbest of lights.

Garth Brooks is from OK not Texas, I'm not sure why you think that only Texas is allowed to wear cowboy boots and belt buckles and listen to country music and why you think no one is Louisiana does, but you need to start looking around because you are very wrong

I'm alright with adding Born on the Bayou, but calling baton rouge is never leaving, Esp not with Les at the helm. Someone in the marketing dept almost lost their job when the song cut off halfway though last season.

First of all change your diaper because it is just a song, secondly most people like it so get over it and just try and have a good time, if one song is ruining your LSU experience then you have way bigger problems then Garth Brooks song

WHO THE frick CARES?! He's not from Louisiana.

Maybe YOU should start looking around. 30% of Louisianians are black. I don't see them in cowboy boots and buckles. And I guarantee you I don't see maybe 1 out of 100 whitefold at the university wearing cowboy boots.

What percentage of people at the game, excluding the players, are black?
