I am very surprised our OC was never poached by another team.

Brady brought pass route concepts and other stuff like that. Made it much easier for the QB to run through his progressions. Guessing he helped a fair amount with play calling. We will see how much that rubbed off on E.

Anyone who doesn't think there was a massive difference between the offense LSU ran in 2016 and 2018 and the one they ran in 2019 is just fooling themselves. Watch the 2018 Alabama game with Burrow under center, slow developing play actions, max protect, long routes that don't let the QB get the ball out quickly, and screens and checkdowns getting blown up like the defense knew what was coming. Then compare that to 2019.

ummm...that is why the HEAD COACH decided there would be a change.

t implying that the unprecedented transformation they went through is because of anyone but Brady is just stupid.

post hoc ergo propter hoc is stupid. This was going to be the LSU offense. The HC hired a guy that had the knowlege to help it along. Had Brady NOT been available (or unknown even to O), someone would have been hired to implement it.

I appreciate Brady and give him credit. But, HE did not change the offense. Coach O changed the offense and hired a good dude to do his (Brady's) job. This is the LSU offense. It is not the Brady offense

I do not believe Coach Steve Ensminger truly desires to be anywhere other than LSU.

How long do you think it will take before Carolina realizes that Joe Brady is trying to implement Steve Ensminger's schemes?

That must truly explain it. There were absolutely zero rumours of any other team trying to attain his services.

I think His major point was that even though someone else could have implemented this offense, E didn’t.

You are making some assumptions that simply aren't clear.

Personally, I think Brady had more to do with it than anyone else (probably like 80% of the success is due to him). Obviously, Orgeron was brave enough to make changes which, as we know, isn't easy for all coaches.

In my opinion, LSU is going to try and run Brady's offense this year. We will see how well we do implementing it without him over the next couple of years.

O wanted the offense changed so he went and got somebody to change it. If he could have done that with E he would have.

So ANY time a change happens it can’t possibly be the cause of a subsequent change? We’re just supposed to ignore all other details? I’m pretty sure you are not using this argument correctly.

NFL teams weren't breaking the door down to hire Ensminger.

To pretend that just because an NFL team hired Brady means that Brady was the mastermind isnt the smartest assumption.

NFL teams are desperate for any young, offensive Sean McVay type these days.

I'm sure Brady had a good bit to do with the turnaround but our system was really nothing special and the consistent message out of Baton Rouge all season was that Brady was calling only around 10% of the plays.

We just had the perfect guys to run it, starting with a quarterback who was damn near perfect when it counted.

I'm just saying the NFL thing doesnt mean as much as some try to pretend, NFL teams take chances and do dumb shite all the time.
