I also was not aware Kelly was even available, and would obviously pick BK over Billy.

It was 100% about the fact that he coached at ULL.

And I always thought that was stupid. Would Alabama hire the HC from Troy? Would Georgia hire the HC from Georgia State? Elite programs hire elite coaches. You shop in the Sun Belt section when you’re North Carolina State

I remember when O was canned we had some fans bitching when we didn’t hire BN.

No reasonable person was bitching we didn't hire Napier over Kelly.

And anyone who wasn't a little nervous when Florida hired him is not rational regardless of what the outcome is. What he was able to accomplish at USL was pretty spectacular, you need only look at the records prior to and since his tenure.

The SEC isn’t the Sun Belt.

As I have stated in another thread, elevating any coach from a lower level is a risk/reward situation. It appears the risk has not provided the rewards for Florida and that's just fine by me

And he's put together a hell of a Sunbelt team, unfortunately for him, he is in the SEC now.

CBK was a dream come true. Someone legitimately addressing the OL need.

If he's at Central Michigan nobody really cares.

If that were true PJ Fleck would be the coach right now.

Without Nick Saban LSU is still just an abov-average but not great program. It took an outsider to make people realize what they had and luckily for LSU Scott Woodward recognized what needed to be done for success and not feel good Advocate headlines.

No, it was the administration making the commitment that got a Nick Saban to come here in the first place.
