re: Remember when LSU basketball was fun?

Pinson, Murray, Days and Eason all missed games and were hurt in multiple games. You add Miller missing the entire season and that’s a lot to lose yet still make a 6 seed in the tourney and finish 3 spots higher than predicted. The entire identity of the team had to be altered. We went from a top 10 offense to a top 5 defense in order to get the most out of that roster.

Everything you said in that post is false and borderline insane. You’re living in a delusional fantasy world where you ignore all data and fact, substituting it with copium.
Wonderful points! I have no argument so I’ll just throw out words like false and insane instead. We all watched those teams. Wade wasn’t what you thought he was. Sorry.

It was very fun to reach an NIT and 4 straight NCAA tournaments. If an LSU fan didn't enjoy that, your expectations for LSU basketball are unhinged from reality IMO.
Also, if you think that this season is fun, I wonder if you are an LSU fan. This season reminds me more of Trent Johnson after the first year than any of Will Wade's teams.

What you posted is incorrect. Should I go point by point debunking what’s been debunked 100s of times already. Should I address all your false editorial evaluations again? Should I have to point out your conflicting and incorrect characterizations of events and recruits? Like I said “everything you posted is false”, you made it up with zero data to support any of it.

As predicted these non fans love when LSU basketball is trash. All of this was predicted last spring and they’re following the script to a T.

LSU hadn't made 4 straight NCAAT appearances since Geert Hammink was playing. Geert is 53 years old now to put that into perspective.

I remember when WW got caught cheating.

The shite posters will tell you
-“Wade underachieved” when he finished higher than expected every season at LSU, made the post season every year, had the highest win% in program history to begin a career and won an SEC title.
-“Wade was a bad Xs and Os coach”, when he had top 10, high volume, high efficiency offenses then turned around and coached a top 5 defense last year.
-“He had elite NBA talent”, when he never had a lottery pick and only 2 first rounders at LSU. Had most of his NBA guys play their way from undrafted into the league based on development. Had almost all of his players outperform their recruiting rankings, changed players positions and saw them make huge progressions while they were at LSU.
It’s all ignorant nonsense, double standards and talking points that were created by them here and only exist here.

Now we're arguing with the same ilk while our program is arguably the worst it's ever been.

What they’re counting on is the actual fans forgetting this past spring when they were jumping for joy at “all the talent a real coach” brought in. I know you and I were just as excited too because I remember you in those threads. The difference is now that we’ve seen the product, we acknowledge the realities and those posters refuse to because it was never about LSU winning to them. It was always just about dunking on people who liked the previous coach.

quote:Agreed. And I easily admit I was a WW fan. I was very upset Woody fired him prior to the NCAAT last year, but for me it was really more about the players. Woody sold them out and regardless of any money, Wade's players loved him.

I didn't dislike the Coach Mc hire. Hell, when he was bringing KJ with him, got Adam to come back when he was teetering, etc. We all had hope. My loyalty is to LSU Basketball, not a certain coach. Heck, I even went to bat for TJ and JJ at times.
But I also don't wear blinders to mask the reality of what it was then and is now. Seems like they do. Shifting the goalposts for them seems their reality. This team is really bad and not well coached. And as much as it pains me to say that, it's the truth. I take no pride in it.

Didn’t get your check? Too bad. Guess you didn’t see the special man.

Sorry little buddy but I’m out of troll feed so you’ll have to go to the neighbors and check if they’ve got some.

Are you still in the WW Handjob club? Sounds like it.

I'd ask him about his LSU Basketball fandom, but it would be useless.

You had a good post earlier about their focus and I wanted to add my thought on this. When you're dealing with guys that don't know what KenPom, NET, Quads - except I've seen better in the Quad - type of people, we're wasting our time.

Apparently you received yours.
Does Woody pay his Toadys well, or do you feel indebted?
