Sullivan was the PGC. Same as Brady. Steve was the OC for both of them, but the offenses looked completely different. It can be a very influential position. I'm just hoping it goes more like Brady than Sullivan.

Actually, by the middle of the season, former PGC Sullivan wasn't up in the booth with Ensminger anymore. As coaching had just passed that guy by.

Meanwhile, in the final three games of the 2018 season, the offense started to look a lot like it looked in 2019. As Slinger started running some 11 personnel packages and also that's when Joe's productivity skyrocket at the end of the season as well.

He wasn’t forced to do it. He wanted to please the fan base after Kiffin fell through. He wanted to keep Ensminger as OC but knew the fan base would have a shite fit.

Because Ensminger was also a bad hire.

We played 2 G5 teams in the last 3 games.

It’s real easy to just ignore our ahithole of an offense 11 games through the season

Long and short: if our offense wasn’t given great field position or could bomb it deep against overmatched defenses we couldnt score with any kind of consistency

Plus he was abusive to the players

Wow, the Canada story just keeps getting more and more colorful every time it is told.

This didn’t happen.

So with this amazing offense we had at the end of 2018, why did Ensminger feel the need to go get Brady?

Actually Ed O hired Matt Canada because Alleva told him to hire him. However, he didn't run the kind of offense Ed O wanted. Plus he was abusive to the players.

Will Clapp said all the players liked playing for him and Etling spoke highly of him, said the players embraced him and liked him. He also said he was very professional as the season came to a conclusion and he knew he wouldn't be returning.

I was never excited about him. I was hopeful but, after watching Pitt tapes, I wasn’t too enthused.

However, I think the experience made O a better CEO. He took his time on both hires. I am sure he knows what he was looking for and found that in Linehan.

People forget that Saban Initially hired John Thompson as his DC when he came to LSU. That lasted less than a month and Thompson was sent packing. He knew what what he wanted and Thompson wasn’t it. O knows what he wants.
